Kenwright has consistently stated he would step aside if the right investor could be found and believes he has found the "perfect partner" in the 60-year-old billionaire who sold his 15% share in Arsenal to his business associate Alisher Usmanov for around £200m on Friday.
For Moshiri's part, it means he can now exert the power and influence his money could never buy at Arsenal, where he and Usmanov could not wrest control from majority shareholder Stan Kroenke. There will be some major items on the new Everton owner's agenda when he settles to his task, namely the next move on whether the club moves ground or considers redeveloping Goodison Park - and also how to keep the club's most coveted players, with top scorer Romelu Lukaku and England pair John Stones and Ross Barkley expected to attract serious interest this summer. For Everton, however, they will hope Moshiri's arrival will finally provide them with the financial power they have lacked to threaten the elite at the top of the Premier League.

I'm still trying to figure it all out. Without a doubt we now have a greater chance of keeping Rom, Ross, and Stones.

It all seems like a good deal thus far. Everton won't be giants because of this buyout but we shouldn't get left behind either, and maybe can be a little more consistent with the champions league chase with more financially stable ownership and (hopefully) a resolution to the stadium issue

Great move IMO. By all accounts, he was a quiet shareholder at Arsenal and is very business savvy. He absolutely reamed Kroenke and the board for certain financial driven moves (selling off players like RvP).
As a Padres fan, I did not want to go through another John Jay Moores ownership roller coaster. Really preferred that no American bought the club unless the SKC group were involved. Those guys really take care of their supporters and build their squad for success.
Glad it turned out the way it did though.

He's an accountant, worked for EY etc., hopefully that means he's not gonna be reckless with things, investment is great but it's gotta be smart.
This is all going on the assumption that accountants are generally financially savvy and more conservative, but most accountants arent billionaires so who knows ultimately

Mourinho would be a very bad fit at Everton. Not that he would consider it anyways.
The new boss is going to have to be someone who understands the Everton way of doing things (i.e. building up from the academy). Eddie Howe might be a good option. He's an Evertonian and he's a top coach who gets the most of his players.

I get what you are saying a out Mou being a bad fit, but OTOH supporters want Everton to achieve like the big club they are (were?). So maybe Mou isn't the guy, but you also don't go hire another unproven manager if you want to be a big club. I know Ranieri has his detractors, and this season is probably a flash in the pan, but if Leicester can get a manager who has been at clubs with massive budgets and expectations, taken them to champions league, and so on, surely Everton can do better than some upstart.
Of course you never know when that upstart will be Ferguson, or Clough or whatever, but times have changed. Hiring a manager with clout signals to players and supporters that you demand top 4, signing Eddie Howe says you are going to roll the dice and won't be disappointed with mid table.
