Barkley has fricked up twice this game. He left his man unmarked on that goal and missed that easy cross from Geri that should have been a goal.
Hopefully Geri and Lukaku can pick up his slack.

Geri is singlehandedly keeping us in this game
And that derp I was talking about was the 1st goal we gave up

Lukaku is playing well too. Nice assist.

Romelu Lukaku has now scored 45 Premier League goals since 2012/13, only Agüero (56), Suárez (54) & Van Persie (48) have more in that time.

Late night with the LSU game, just watched the replay. Wish we could have made a late goal, but it's one more point. Funes Mori and Jag played well though.

Funes Mori looked great. I think he's earned some more playing time so it'll be interesting to see what we do when Stones, Baines, and Coleman come back.

A couple observations from the last few matches.
1. Deulofeu should be on the field at all times. Not sure why he was taken off today. He gets us some great looks and is the only reason we came back and won last week. Lukaku helped with some great finishes, but 19 was magical.
2. Barkley is a ball hog and routinely passes up great opportunities to pass to try to make some ridiculous highlight goal. He frustrates the hell out of me. I have been watching him do this since last year.
Full disclosure: I am no soccer guru. Just a new fan who has watched every match the last two years.

good thing is he speaks english so there's no communication issues with timmy and the other defenders. jags has been excellent.

Agreed. If Coleman and Stones come back next game can he play LB until Baines returns or is he the first defensive sub? Galloway has played fantastic IMO, so it's a good problem to have.

I kind of agree with both of those. Deulofeu seems way to isolated on the outside. He and Barkley really need to work on their chemistry. They are by far are two most creative players but they play too independently. If those two learn to link up, that will be a very dangerous duo.

We haven't seen a game with Coleman and Deulo on the right yet. The games Coleman started this year, it seemed like 80% of the attack was coming from the right. Hopefully those two together will be a new age Baines/Pienaar combination.
I 100% agree with the Barkley comment. He slows down the game every time (fast breaks excluded) he gets the ball. You'll never see him do two touch passing unless he thinks he'll get the ball right back.
