There is no greater underachieving team than England. Jesu, dude, both of them have won World Cups not on their home turf.

Im not disagreeing.

It was a pasting. Probably the reason that Wilshere is now running the mid field for England. You looked old and slow and the match wasn't nearly as close as the score indicated.

England didn't put out there best XI

The fact that you think your team is so much better than Chile and Ghana makes me laugh out loud.

I don't care. I didn't say much better any way. I said England would and should be favored in both games. Chile and Ghana are not bad teams.

Adam, I'll give you Korea (although I think those little bastards would give y'all hissy fits), as they are on an equal level of attacking ineptness.

But I stand by the rest. I am not bashing, it is what it is.

England is irrelevant in the sport they invented.
Your vision of world football is grossly myopic and self centred.

Ah, Go Dawgs!

Serious question. When is the last time England went into a major tournament and someone outside their players, fans, and media actually thought they had a chance to win?

I disagree. I don't think you can call a top
10-15 team irrelevent.

because they aren't. If they played I think England would win over 60% of the time.

Someone said they were ranked fourth in the world (which was later rectified to be sixth), and you pompously said something along the lines of "except for Spain, Netherlands, and Germany, who should be above us (or beat us, I don't recall exsctly).

You quickly added Uruguay and another side.

I put Uruguay in first thing. I don't think that rating of 6 is that far off.

There are not that many sides that would beat England more than 65% of the time.

Brazil does not underachieve.

I would love for you to read Soccernomics, although you would probably put it down after 3 pages because it takes an objective approach towards England's slight overachieving.

This is what we're talking about Adamm. You're living in a bubble. You're so confident about England and we're all trying to figure out why. You have no idea what Chile was the most exciting team to watch at World Cup 2010 because all your tiny brain can comprehend is "we invent sport no team beat us ooga ooga" Stupid arse myopic, narcissistic, British attitude .

You are simply looking at too small of a sample size. Look at the big picture and the general trends.

none of that is true and the fact that you think it is means your trying to group me in with alot of other English fans and missing the point.

The point is very few teams would be favored vs. England.

Chile may be exciting but it doesn't mean they should be ranked higher.

I don't have to group you in anywhere, you do a good enough job all by yourself.

I can think of the 2011 Copa America and the 2006 and 2010 World Cups where they lost to the runner up in the quarterfinals.

Is there anything else recently?
