Lukaku. Younger and isn't a drama queen that stirs the pot every third match with antics.

We have a shot to get within 5 points of Europe and we look like we couldn't care less. Miazga looks awful and how does Guus justify Pato over Traore?

I thought RLC played well.

Should we sign Montoya? That fit gives us fits every time we play Swansea.

if that was our transfer policy we'd already have signed steve naismith and most of newcastle.

So now there are more reports that make me hate our behind-the-scenes crew even more. They've leaked this rubbish that "Conte gets to decide JT's fate," but apparently the decision has already been made by higher-ups and the choice doesn't lie with him.

They're casting aside a club legend, who has been our best defender this season. Conte has shown he can use old players and get results. Terry bleeds Chelsea blue. 60% of our squad doesn't even really know what it means to play for Chelsea, and they're throwing away the guy who would die for the badge. There are numerous young defenders on our books who could benefit from Terry being around.

But worst of all, they're too cowardly to come forward and own the decision. They're going to pin it on Conte, alienating a lot of less-informed fans and causing our new manager to start out on the rocks with the supporters. And it looks like Lampard all over again. Terry will be gone, but we don't know for sure so we can't even really say goodbye properly. It's disgraceful. I'm sick of it.

Article with context

The article does also admit Conte could be playing politics because nobody would want to be the guy who sacked a club legend. But I have a hard time believing that with how Chelsea botched the Lampard situation.

I actually had a conversation with a friend the other day about what it means to the players to "wear the shirt". Not just soccer but all sports. I just think we, as fans, think players care way more than they actually do. I'm not referring to Terry fwiw. Just in general. Guys just want to win and make money. At this point what do we have left to play for? Most of our guys are just trying to stay healthy for the summer tourneys. Honestly, I can't say I blame them. Homestly, Terry hasn't been good this year. He's off the pace. He's not the only one. Looking at you Ivanovic. But Zouma was making Terry look better because he was constantly covering Terry's lack of pace. If we want to be pissed at anyone look at Hazard. What in the world is his deal. He's been invisible the entire year and looks like his head has moved on. I'm just ready for the season to be over and get a fresh start.

I think in most cases you're right but that's what makes guys like John Terry special. I think it does mean something, a lot, to him to play for Chelsea.

I've got to believe this has to be the worst year ever for any player who was thought to be a superstar. I hope Real give us 50m and let's move on.

Amen.

I can't wait to not start a Mikel/Cesc pivot every single game. Slowest midfield in the world. Mikel should be in the squad next year. I'm totally indifferent on Cesc. If we got a good offer, I'd take it. I think he could be decent if paired with a dynamic box-to-box guy and another guy who is good on the ball. But him and Mikel are not athletic enough to play together in a league that relies so much on athleticism.

ETA: We need like 4 new center backs. Pedro is probably not going to do well under Conte. I don't think we're going to see massive overhaul because you never see someone just replace a whole team, but I really think 5 starters will be different

Unless we brought on Matic, then it might get even slower.

I don't care if he's on the team but there's no way he should be starting the majority of our matches. He should be a League Cup player or a late sub to kill of a game that's over, that's it. He's slow, pretty lazy, and not skilled.

We need Zouma back 100% asap. Sooo slow back there.

I'm not sure Baba is the answer at LB and Azpi has been disappointing the last half of this season.

Probably not, but I hope we do. I think today is the last game I'll watch this season. The more I watch the more I hate these guys.

Soo ready for a fresh start, thank goodness the off season is only like two months long.

RLC isn't a #10 either. He needs to play deeper.

Yea I was wondering today if it wouldn't have helped for he and Cesc to switch places but then again RLC was about the only one making runs into the box when the ball was out wide.

RLC did alright but it just isn't his natural position. Cesc is so useless on defense that he either has to play farther up the field or not be on the field.
