He has been posting results. I may not love how he looks on the pitch, but the dude is scoring and is efficient as hell with his opportunities.

I love the player Willian is becoming. Great work rate and he has the creativity. Having he and Hazard as wingers is so tough. They have speed to beat you wide and have the skill to cut inside and shoot or orchestrate. Oscar needs to step up his game though.

I was similar. I had a golf league start tonight and I was in the clubhouse dining room running around. What a match.

I generally never have a good feeling before games but I felt good about this one. I do have admit almost all those good feeling went away when Hazard went off but once again this core group of guys showed their bottle.

Now, when is the draw? Thursday? Friday? Can Hazard win the race to get fit?

How do we approach the league now? I think if City win this weekend we abandon it and go for the CL.

A city win makes things tough as far as the league goes but they still have Everton as well. By the match, we will know what's up with the league. A win by Liverpool would be nice though. Regardless, it has been a good year without a top flight forward. Different guys stepping up. We have over achieved IMO. I do like the lineup from yesterday though. Good times.

So with Ivan suspended for the first leg I guess it's Cole on the left and Azpi on the right? If so, I hope we give Cole a lot of game time the next two weeks to get his match fitness up.

Do we even have any other options?

I mean, it wasn't no Man Utd vs Olympiakos, but still respectable.

Did we loan out Tomas Kalas? If not, I believe he's our only other "option" until we sign Shaw this summer.

David Luis could go central and Cahill right. Me personally, I like Cahill and Terry central. I see Luis going right with a a change at holding mid (Ramires if Hazard can go?). I wouldn't mind seeing Cole on the left in this instance though. It also may depend our our opponent. Trust in JM I guess.

I don't think he is gonna break up the Cahill Terry CB pairing. I can guarantee he isn't going to start Kalas.

It seems like having Cole slide into LB and Azpi back to his natural position is a no brainer. Unless, of course, Cole has been sitting around doing nothing but eating Doritos during his nearly 6 month absence. I still don't understand how he fell so out of favor so fast.

I definitely was not suggesting he would, merely responding to the question of depth on the back line

I'm thinking we'll see: Cole---Cahill---Terry---Azpilicueta

If one of them gets hurt we'll probably throw Luiz back there. I know he's gone but didn't Jose start Essien at LB earlier this year? Or did I imagine that?

I know Ess played right back several times for Chelsea in the past, started the 08 CL final there. Also played there a lot for Real last year but can't remember him playing LB for Chelsea. If he did it was a late sub appearance at most.
