Thanks everyone for the support. This board is the GOAT. I remember when it was just a series of wee threads on the MSB. Good times had by all.
Hoping to get chemo started in the next couple of weeks (trying to get a second opinion at MD Anderson also just because). Baby is due August 1 so chemo will overlap for 4-6 weeks at this rate, which isn't ideal but isn't the end of the world.
Don't all rush out to get colonoscopies. While colon cancer is rising in young adults, it's still a rare situation especially given my (seeming) lack of family history. Eat healthy and balanced, keep up your Vitamin D (take supplements or get in the sun more) to help your immune health. Heck, research even showing an aspirin regiment can help (talk to your doctor).
For the NOLA contingent, hope to see you all at some point in the near-ish future.

May the partnered spirits of Brede Hangelaand and Aaron Hughes be the defensive shield of your body in its eradication of cancer.

Worst case scenario you've got carlos bocanegra and mark crossley as a last line of defense

Anyway, good luck Brave. I appreciate your match day threads and their detail.
Good luck and if you need anything, please let me know. Just because I'm a Zenit fan, I'm really not a-hole.

It always really frustrates me when I hear of decent people dealing with cancer. These really sum up my feelings on this:

Best wishes on your treatment. A good friend just came down with lymphoma and is going through chemo. Can't imagine the toll on your body. Keep fighting it!

You guys were long overdue this update. Been hectic lately and I'm just really coming back around to normal.
After my first round of chemo last week, I developed some complications from my previous operation that required more surgery. The site of my colon reconnection essentially sprung a leak and caused me the worst debilitating pain I've ever experienced in my life. I have been in the hospital since Thursday morning 4/7 and had the operation Friday 4/8 to put in an ileostomy.
The plan is to restart chemo in about 6 weeks so I'm very much looking forward to that. The ileostomy will keep my colon unbothered and hopefully prevent this from happening again. Then once chemo is done we will reverse it.
I appreciate the thoughts and prayers I have already received during this latest speedbump and look forward to the future and getting this all behind me.
Keep it real.
