This is stupid, why do fire him when the last three games have been City, City and in form Liverpool. And even then were close to getting a point in each one? and for Bob fricking Bradley??? Oh im sure these American investors weren't planning on this from the beginning. And I want to get this out now but ever since Donovan made a return I had a sneaky suspicion he would be loaned to Swansea to make headlines.

I thought maybe the American investors would buy an American at a position we need like yedlin at RB or something but this just looks bad

So glad we got rid of DiMatteo... We have been garbage in last 30 minutes of matches this season.

If Huddersfield continues to win, there will be 2 American managers in the EPL next year.

This just really isn't a good hire. Done purely because he's American. Obv I know.

He hasn't been getting good jobs for the same reason. Funny how things work out.

Wait, because he's American he isn't getting good jobs? Has nothing to do with coaching ability at all?

What measurable success has he actually had? A win over Spain? A good first half against Brazil? Remember we were getting pasted in the group stage of that tournament before we managed to squeak through against Egypt.

Interesting convo on SiriusXMFC this morning. An English caller went nuts over this hire and said you gotta have someone with experience in England or real success in Europe. Charlie Stillitano made a great case that his last few stops have been excellent work and that at some point you have to let outsiders have a chance, especially a guy who has a life's worth of experience. Otherwise, it's a neverending cycle of inbred/retread coaches based on the misguided idea that you must hire people with experience in English football.

People keep saying this, but is it actually true? I mean good for him getting the job he can get, but I think people are massively overplaying his accomplishments because he's American. He didn't get Egypt to the World Cup. He didn't get Le Havre promoted, even though it was razor thin. A lot of coaches have almost gotten their clubs promoted. Stabaek qualifying for Europa League for first time may actually be biggest club accomplishment for him.

Agree that recycling the same crap coaches is a bad idea, and agree that outsiders eventually have to be given a chance...just saying I don't think he had some divine right to be the one.

I feel like the Bob Bradley train is sounding like the keep Ed Orgeron train.

Well shouldn't the caveat to his time in Egypt be that there was a revolution going on and the Port Said massacre had just occurred. With Le Havre he had a club that spent only 24 seasons in Ligue 1. He's a decent coach, especially with his emphasis on positioning, and most of all, he's pragmatic in a way that I wish Klinsmann was. He does play favorites and his tactical style can be regressive, but I'd argue we the US was a better team in terms of spacing and positioning in comparison to now.

Guidolin was a yes man for Huw and Co. Now this will be the tagline for Bob under the new American ownership

Overachieved in all IMO.

I think he did very well in managing all those sides. All were tough jobs.

He still obviously got this gig because of his american connections but people, including managers, often get gigs because of connections. I don't think it can be said that he doesn't deserve it or that he is unqualified. He's managed two national teams, Ligue 2 club, tippelagen club, mls clubs, and I think he has to be viewed as having varying degrees of success at all stops.
