Fabianski
Jenkinson/Djourou/Kos/Traore
Wilshere/Frimpong/Nasri
Gervinho/RvP/Arshavin

Nasri playing the Cesc role, I'd imagine. Afobe and Bartley on the bench.

He's making very good comments overall right now. About the lack of leadership and steely/cool calm players out there. He's being very pro-english right now, but he is pointing out the lack of resolve/leadership to maintain leads. Comparing how SAF gets the best out of his players and their own players police themselves, yet Wenger can't do the same nor do his players take on the challenge well.

Edit: Savage was brutally honest, saying Arsenal needs to go out and buy 2 top class CB's.

I'm not sure I buy the Englishness argument. We do need another CB, maybe 2 if Djourou continues to play like shite. I thought Johan turned the corner last year around November when he played really well all the way until his injury against Man U. Since he came back, he's played really poorly. He might have been rushed back or something, but he needs to stay on the bench for a while. And again it was the Squillaci/Djourou pair that gave up goals. Koscielny/Djourou is a better partnership. I'm still waiting to see how good the TV/Koscielny partnership is.

Just got home (London Home) from the Emirates. Here are my observations:
1)THE MLS may not be as bad as Europeans think, The Red Bull guys played PSG off the field.
2) Boca fans are the best in all of sport....I am not kidding they are insane. They are friendly, passionate, and a blast to be with. They sing, dance, dance some more and make ridiculous amounts of noise the entire game.
3) Arsenal can live without Cesc, but they need a backup for Wilshire. Ramsey is a year or so away.
4) Squilachi is not good enough to start for Torquay United.
5) Gervinho is amazing!!!!!!
6) Soccer is a great game
7) Boca will be much better this year. I love Palermo....but let's play these young guys now!

My thoughts from the match:

1)Can we please get a good CB ASAP?
2)Despite the fact we scored two goals, thought this was one of the poorer attacking displays I've seen from Arsenal. Gervinho was very good, but the two goals came on our only two goal scoring opportunities. Was disappointed we weren't able to create more. I think the main culprit was Nasri. I just don't think he has what it takes to play the Cesc role and link the MF to the strikers. I'd be interested to see how Mata would do there (if we can sign him).
3)I don't think Ramsey is best suited for Wilshere's position.
4)Jenkinson is solid going forward, and a good athlete, but he still is quite raw defensively. Should be a good one for the future though.
5)I didn't think Traore did half bad.
6)Frimpong still has a lot to learn, but he seems like he could be a decent understudy to Song. Has better dribbling skills than I thought. Though that can be a bad thing if he's holding onto the ball too much. I'd still like to get a look at Coquelin there, but doesn't look like that'll happen.

Jenkinson was as responsible for the two Boca goals as Squilachi. I had just turned to someone and commented on how athletic he was when he let Mouche blow past him.

One of Bartley or Miguel can't be worse than Squillaci can they? At least if they mess up it can be blamed on youth. Ideally we need a a starting CB, but at the absolute minimum we need a good 3rd CB than can push Djourou to 4th and Squillaci out of here.

Or at least keep Bartley.

While I agree that Nasri blows as a central playmaker, we did seem to tire at some point. At half-time we are clearly the better team by some margin. I think Gervinho can do well in the PL because he has pace and directness.

I agree. Wilshere is ahead of Ramsey at this point, as can be expected. Ramsey seems more of Cesc's successor than a DLP. I think the Wilshere/Ramsey could be lethal.

I liked what I saw out of Frimpong and Traore. Frimpong is going to be a beast. He breaks up play better than Song, and doesn't seem to foul as much. Whatever LB we have has to provide more width than Clichy did.
