We certainly avoid Atletico, Barcelona, PSG (since they were in our group), and hopefully Madrid and Juventus. Won't play City either.

I'm hoping we avoid BVB and Bayern... but probably not

Yep.

Watch us draw Bayern.

Oh well, you win group and take what you get.

I just don't want to see us shite the bed in the first leg like we usually do. Come out of it level or down a goal and I feel good about our chances.

Having the 2nd leg at home is huge.

Alexis' missed FK may have been the best highlight of many this match. Wouldn't be surprised to see Gibbs get a run of games soon.

Very good problem to have. Two of the best say seven LBs in the league. Gibbs has really played well the last two matches. Getting funneled the ball because the other attackers don't trust Gabriel to be Bellerin. To be fair he isn't really compareable to any other RB in the league. He really is that good. Defense is finally a real asset. KosTafi is the best CB pairing and Cech and Ospina are pretty damn good. End of happy rant......

Except that the last time Arsenal went unbeaten in group play they made the finals in 2005/2006. We get a fully healthy squad and I'll give us a shot at any team.

Very happy to win the group..

Hopefully they can make some noise. Xhaka was really good. Gibbs playing well. Been waiting to see Lucas and Sanchez play together. Holding looks like a solid option.

Let's play fully fit best 11

Cech
Bellerin-Kostafi-Monreal (Gibbs is sooo close)
Xhaka-Coq
Theo-Ozil-Lucas
Alexis

Ramsey, Welbeck, Ox off the bench

I'd go with the same exact lineup. The only thing is I would play the 2 most in form, at the time, out of Ox, Theo, and Lucas. They are all close in quality.

Do you think Lucas starts seeing some starting minutes, heck just regular minutes now after that showing in the last match? He was playing on the right wing towards the end of the match as well.

Theo-Ozil-Lucas

I know Lucas is a striker, and he is out there to score goals, but did he really show any more than Theo has shown in a few games last night? I really can't believe I'm saying this because I wanted to get rid of Theo in the offseason, but Theo has shown me more so far. It's possible that I missed other things Lucas did last night, but 2 of his 3 goals were tap ins. Yeah, I know he has to be in that position, but I am still a little leery to put him in my best 11.

I think right now Theo and Ox are ahead of him but Lucas is doing exactly what he needs to do to get more time. In 8 games(5 as a starter, 3 as sub) he has 5 goals and 3 assists. So Lucas offers goals off the bench atm but if he keeps up his form/productivity then he should get some starts.

I think I'd put Giroud in ahead of Welbz, if only because I'm a huge fanboy

But my ideal would be to have Welbeck starting on the left & Giroud/Ox/Lucas/Rambo be subs.

And I forgot about Santi. I'd love to see him and Xhaka partner together but Idk. There's too many quality players. Geez. Never thought I'd say those words

I think this is probably what I think too. Got a little carried away with Lucas' brace.

I love Welbeck. I hope he gives us a good half season when he's back.

I'd toss Santi, Iwobi, and Giroud in the mix as well.

Might even pick Xhaka-Santi over Xhaka-Coq; probably would depend on the opposition.

Edit: And shite, let's not forget Walcott too

Wolfsburg looking to sell Draxler in January for about 30 million. It makes sense but there are questions about his attitude. At that price I'd take the gamble.

yeah he has attitude problems but why not roll the dice. He's a young player, regular player for the national team & won a world cup.
at 30M I'd definitely take the gamble. plus it could help out with the Ozil contract
