He's a great super sub/backup ST.

Ozil has been pretty terrible. We can't afford to have a player who does no defensive work and doesn't close down defenders.

I don't mean to beat my own drum but it's amazing how often I'm right.

I don't wanna bash on Özil too hard because his jersey is the first Arsenal jersey I ever owned, so in a way hes kind of special to me but he's been absolutely shitty the second half of the season.
And as you said he does no defending. Hell, we have to play a certain system simply because of him. I get that he's the record signing so Arsene wants to always have him out there but when he's not on form he shouldn't be picked. Plain and simple.

I think people here aren't giving credit to Ozil's versatility. The right system for Ozil also requires not having retards in central midfield. Ramsey was far worse than Ozil, and he should be dropped. At least Ozil moved without the ball, tried to get into dangerous positions, and tried pressing. Ramsey has been far more worthless.
I don't understand why we dropped Holding. He's fantastic on the ball and if he can get his passing right, we don't need Ramsey dropping deep, acting like a retard, slowing our play to a snail's pace.

We really need to clean out this summer. Maybe not go 100% revamp and everyone gets axed, but we definitely need wholesale changes.
If you haven't performed well this year (cough, Coq), haven't played hardly any (RIP Jenko), or just plain aren't good enough to be a starter/future starter or capable backup you need to be sold.
Heck man, I'm just ready for this season to be over with

He's changed to a back four during the game 3 times now. It's almost like he purposefully sabotaged the back 3 to make a point.
Why start Gibbs? Why take off xhaka and leave on Ramsey. Why bring on Wellbeck and put him down the right?

Taking off Xhaka for Welbeck just blew my mind.....

frick this season, man. I'm so apathetic about this team at the moment.
If the club or Wenger would come out and say something about the future, I'd at least be able to distract myself with summer transfer window thoughts or, more unlikely, who would be our next manager.
Instead, I'm just sitting here waiting for this motherfricker to be done with.

The silver lining is of course the FA Cup final. A trophy is a trophy and the FA Cup is a big one.
I just hate how uninspiring and boring and disconnected our play is. Outside of 3-0 vs. Chelsea this year and 3-0 vs. United last year, I can't think of any others games in the last two years where I've enjoyed the way we played and the result we got.

The pounding we gave Southhampton in the FA Cup earlier this season is just about the only other one I can think of. We are so static and readable. Only Sanchez is unpredictable and to be honest he gives the ball away too much.

It is imperative we win that or the entire season is complete garbage. I'm not optimistic on that result, but I would love to deny Chelsea a double.

I actually think Sanchez is extremely predictable. It's one of the issues with our attack. He's just so good, he can still beat people when they know he is going to go to his right every single time.

this team just sucks. outside of FA cup have they even eat a top four team
Posted on 5/6/17 at 2:05 am to TutHillTiger
We beat the "old" Chelsea (pre formation switch).
Idk about the others tbh, but I don't think we have. And I don't care to go back and look
This has been a terrible season league wise. Unfortunately next year will probably be the same or worse

I don't understand his reasoning for playing some of these guys
