The man is trolling us at this point

eta: Elneny not even being in the squad means he must have picked up a knock or something

Flamini's first contribution is a double footed tackle. No comment.

That was a good win. Started slow, but good result. Elneny missed for birth of child. Hopefully when he comes back flamini can stay on the bench.

So glad ox got the goal. He needs it bad and hopefully he kicks on down the stretch.

Now just take care of leceister.

He just had a baby yesterday morning ... I don't know if Arsene let him leave the squad for that

In an ideal world after Sunday:

1 Leicester 53 pts
2 Arsenal 51 pts
3 Tottenham 49 pts
4 Man City 48 pts
5 Man Utd 41 pts

Yeah a draw between them would be nice. We just really need to take care of business at home.

I'm really glad we got out of our funk against Bournemouth ... It's good to have confidence flowing coming in to this big game.

ETA: Saw on Reddit ... "Martin Atkinson will officiate Arsenal v Leicester. The Gunners have won one and lost five of the last seven he has refereed."

Kinda weird that the article is titled "Arsenal fans join in with #SlamStan ..." yet only talks about the Rams and doesn't give one example of Arsenal fans joining in ...

Stan's move in St Louis is sad (for st louis) but I guess it's kinda cool that they will be back to their old home of almost 50 years.

ETA: And it's funny that it's a personal injury attorney talking about him being greedy

From Reddit

Alexis goals with each starting striker at Arsenal

quote:

12 goals (14 games) Welbeck Starting
10 goals (34 games) Giroud Starting
8 goals (10 games) Theo Starting
2 goals (6 games) Himself Starting
2 goals (4 games) Sanogo Starting
1 goal (1 game) Podolski Starting

My response: I think the most potent we've looked all year was with Theo up top, Alexis on the left, Ozil No. 10, Ramsey right. Think Man United 3-0

What basically happened is Alexis pushed up really high, Ramsey tucked in, and we played a shifted midfield diamond. That gave us a three-headed attack of Theo-Alexis-Ozil, which is a really nice balance of pace, power, and precision.

What's tough is Giroud has been so consistent, it's hard to justify dropping him. But I think it's the right call. He's also very good off the bench and can be a defensive help on set pieces late in games if we're ahead.
