I think Cech is almost a certainty at this point. Would be a tremendous signing for Arsenal.

Is Woj going to be happy remaining at number 2 keeper?

No way in hell are we going to overpay. The quoted price is 7 mil, which is a hell of a steal.

He has recent quotes about never wanting to leave and being ready to fight for his spot. He's so frustrating but I'd still rather sell Ospina. He's a youth product and showed in 2013/14 he can be a great keeper. I'd love to bring in Cech and have Scz learn under him for a year or two then push Cech for the first team spot.

Would be Wenger's best signing of the decade.

Yeah, Scz is still young. I think he could benefit tremendously from a new GK coach. As has been documented, our keepers have struggled with the same issues for a while. Maybe a fresh take on the position from a new coach can fill out his game, especially if that fresh take comes from the man who has guided Cech.

Perhaps the most important, but Sanchez has been the best and it is even close. He just scored a great goal against Bolivia.

Just to play Devils advocate I'd throw Kos' hat in the ring. Signed in 2010, been one of the best 2 or 3 CB's in the league over that span, with no sign of really slowing down. Scored hugely important goals to keep us in the CL and win the FA cup.

Not to mention he was signed for only 8 million pounds, after only one year in Ligue 1. So from a fiscal and scouting perspective I'd argue it was a more impressive signing than Sanchez, but not necessarily better. I do think there's an argument to be made though.

I love Kos, his first season was a little rough, but he turned the corner against Barca in the UCL. Since then, only Terry has been better at the position.

I was going to post this. Def was the best cb with Terry this past season and he was an unknown when Arsene signed him. The progression he made is quite remarkable IMO. Especially considering he wasn't a "young" player.

SkySports is reporting that personal terms with Cech are already done, and that the clubs will do a cash sale with no homegrown player being exchanged (This would be a double victory in my book ... for Arsene to double stiff Mou)

Okay, the new home kit looks better with the players actually wearing it.

I can live with it.

@JWTelegraph: On Cech, negotiations certainly advanced. Arsenal hopeful of announcement in coming days but end of week/early next seems most likely

Yes, I know to take these gossip rags known as British newspapers with a grain of salt, but it sure looks like it's done.

Nice to jump right out of the gate with a huge signing!
