If he didn't play for Arsenal, I think I couldn't stand Wilshere. He can be a baby back bitch out there.

Other than his goal, which was nice, I thought he was pretty bad at the weekend. I was working while I watched, was Ramsey taken off for an injury precaution or just to give a better shape with Rosicky?

I think a bit of both. Plus, he has looked gassed the last couple of matches. He needs a rest.

he had a horrific first half. that said, the ref was giving him no love whatsoever (he wasn't giving anyone love but Jack gets fouled so often). he played better in the second half overall. had a goal and should have earned a penalty.

sucks having to wait so long for the next match.

dunno if yall saw this on r/gunners but this article is prettyyyy amazing LINK

and since there are some writer nerds among us, it will probably make you feel less of yourself seeing how creatively this guy delivers a weekend report.

When ramsey got subbed, wilshere moved to right flank, which helped him to cut inside and take a shot with his left. Good to see wilshere score after a bad first half.

John Cross speculates (don't think he actually reports anything) that a Llorente loan deal in January might be an option.

considering his situation at Juve, his availability might not be the question. is he in form enough to merit a 1/2 year loan? i mean, i'm down for trying it (couldn't hurt), but i wouldn't expect much from it.

It might make sense as one of Wenger's prudent decisions (tho Juve seem to be signaling themselves as a selling club in the media, so their pricetags might be juiced) to have him be a band-aid until summer when we can splash cash on someone at the top of our wishlist.

unrelated edit: frick the international break

I wouldn't mind buying Llorente. At his best he's as good as Giroud.

i don't think we'll buy him. especially since we have giroud. i think we'll buy someone who can (at least nominally) play on the left and centrally. which is why i mentioned Rossi and others earlier. i think Wenger wants more athleticism and pace. especially now with ozil.

that said, i'd be cool with a loan.

I could totally see Wenger trying to convert Draxler into a striker.

Cazorla, Ozil and Draxler.... Oh God I can't stop thinking about how great that would be.

I think so. What´s the value of Arsenal´s war chest at these moments?

well, Draxler won't move until the summer at the earliest. with our new kit deal kicking in as well as our final real estate sales supposedly going through, the estimate is at least 80m pounds.

considering how Draxler plays, tactically it could be very similar to when we had Henry up top. that would be super interesting. Draxler/Ozil as the new Henry/Bergkamp would be something else.

i highly highly highly doubt we get him, but dreaming is fun. if Chelsea is going full bore after him, i think we are a long shot. they generally get who they want (outside of Rooney).

We have the larger German contingent, which could help. We can compete with them financially finally, so it really will be his choice.

Very valid points. I think we have as good a chance as any club other than Bayern.

I'm not religious at all, but I have said a Hail Mary and an Our Father for the protection of all of Arsenal's players today.

Thank you, baby Jesus.
