Brooks i believe would be, he wouldn't want to still be waiting for the international time he is getting with us. Johnson not sure about.

I know Bob began the recruitment of Fabs... Timmy Chandler and I think Danny Williams both got their first call ups under Bob, too.

Probably only Julian Green wouldn't be here

I'm sure they are all happy to represent the USA, but it seems like Brooks shows it the most. He loves to represent this country and it looks like it compared to others.

I noticed Brooks singing the national anthem the other day while Fabs wasn't.

Not a huge deal if they don't, but I like it when the players do sing it.

Green is the only one that probably wouldn't be.

Yeah, I was going to mention that. In Tim Howard's book he tells a story about the Germans not knowing the national anthem, so he printed out the lyrics for them to learn and made them recite it in front of the whole team.

Brooks also has a Georgia tattoo.

I honestly dont think Fabs would sing the German anthem if he were on their squad. He is just that type of dude.

This started in earnest in the run-up to 1994, so it's not just Jurgy.
Earnie Stewart is Dutch, Thomas Dooley is German, and Roy Wegerle was English/South African.

We need to STOP scaling back our military bases in Germany.

What's the background? I know little about this. Are these guys born to American parents who grew up in Germany or straight German citizens? What's the connection to the US. Which players are being referred to? I only see two with "hometown" listed in Germany on the USMNT website.

US soldiers based in Germany, impregnating German women.

Fabian Johnson, Jermaine Jones, John Brooks, Timmy Chandler, Alfredo Morales, Danny Williams, Terrence Boyd, Julian Green are all a product of that.

Actually Fabian Johnson's dad played for Bayern Munich's basketball team and wasn't a soldier. His mom had a military father and German mother. 3/4 of his grandparents are American.
