Lol so apparently City are giving up on Mendy after their first bid of a reported 36 mil pounds was rejected w/ Monaco asking for 40 mil. Now, allegedly, the focus has shifted onto Ryan Bertrand.
Bertrand is not a bad player in any regard and has had flashes, but jesus christ I feel like Mendy is better now and can possibly be 10x better in the future.
However, props to Bertrand for beating Bayern Munich in the UCL final that one time.

Which is weird, since apparently Kyle Walker is a done deal and just waiting for a fee to be discussed. I know they play on opposite sides, but I guess if he's available for a reasonable fee, then he's not a bad option to have off the bench or in injury crisis.
I remember the news breaking that Monaco had rejected City's bid, but it seemed all but a matter of time since news was that City and Mendy had already agreed to terms. I'm not giving up hope, but I was literally holding off on buying a kit until he was announced

Willing to pay 40+ million for 27 year old Walker but won't up the price on Mendy makes no sense. All getting walker does is put you in the same situation a few years down the line with full backs.
