The real question is whether or not Mourinho will ever decide to play an attacking style. You'd think w/ Rashford, Martial, Ibra, Morata, Pogba, etc..there would be plenty of goals in that side next season.

His Madrid teams and first stint a Chelsea were very attacking. But the position that is crucial is a strong holding mid or dm to break up play and cover for the guys moving forward.

For sure, obviously part of it was not having a team I guess he thought was capable of going on attack for a full 90 minutes and not being beat on the counter, City style.

His first two teams at Real Madrid set La Liga scoring records. I want to say one of his Inter teams scored a ton, too.
It's possible... he just loves to shut things down in cup competitions.
Like SCH said, if he can get a true destroyer behind a Pogba-Herrera combination and the front three, he'd be willing to light it up more. It's the position United really needs this season, along with an elite goalscorer.
The rest of the framework is there with Pogba, Martial, Rashford, Mickey, the back four, DDG, etc.

You could make a very strong case that Costa was not a top two player on his own team.
In no order, the best players last season were probably Kante, Hazard, Costa, Sanchez, Kane, and Alli. The superb talents at City just seemed to off and on this season.
