Yeah, I agree, De Jong is exactly what we don't need IMO. He's an underrated passer, but it's all about his mentality.

I want guys on the field that are interested in scoring goals and keeping possession, not sharks with lasers attached to their heads that destroy everything in sight. Besides, Gustavo is the exact same player with cheaper wages and less tattoos...

was just coming here to post that i watched some very shoddy youtube highlights of our goals and they were pretty nice for the most part. apparently this chinese team is not very impressive, but we conceded none and beat the team in front of us. not much else can be done. cant wait for the wolfsburg friendly

eta Robben- Shaq- Franck is looking like a very real possibility. also some reports were saying that this has allowed gomez to feel more comfortable slotting back a little bit on the pitch and doing some things we arent used to seeing him do. gomez still had some pretty shite misses today, he's gotta be feeling this pressure. mandzo and pizza just keep scoring. on gomez goal shaq made your boy look dum on the wing and whipped the cross in, kid is the shite. cant wait to buy a shaq jersey.

I doubt he's ultimately for sale unless City finally gets a holding MF with more quality as a regista like Mancini wants. Mancini's had a full 2 year assault on getting De Rossi from Roma, which won't happen, but the amount of money offered reveals how much Mancini's primary transfer desire is that type player over De Jong or Barry.

I know that all guys know a lot more about Bayern's needs than I do but De Jong is a bit better than he gets credit for. I agree that he tends to play like a heat seeking missile but that type player is often underrated insofar as their dirty work clears so much space for others. Just like at City when he's paired with Toure, it is possible that a De Jong could free Schweinsteiger that much more. I could see a player like him helping Bayern in a matchup with Dortmund or similar styles.

Also, for all his bad tackles, De Jong actually strikes me as a pretty good guy.

De Jong has actually cleaned up the dirty play a lot. I'd much prefer Lars Bender because he can play all throughout the back line and in the defensive mid position but I wouldn't shoot myself over De Jong.

I think De Jong is getting his name thrown around because he is in the last year of his contract.

The reason I disllike him is because he hurt my poor Stuhawk.

+1

I don't really dislike him, I just don't think he solves any problems. Bender would be a much better pick up going forward if that's the type of player we wanted. I would prefer Javi Martinez or M'Vila at that position over anyone else though. They can handle the dirty work and are decently creative. Martinez is very versatile too.

I love versatile players. We need them in bayern to push the starters if they fall out of form. Especially after last seasons multiple second place debacle. Record German champions need more silverware to eat with

Rummenigge is such a dick.

Watching Bayern vs Wolfsburg.

First half we started in our natural 4-2-3-1

Boateng - DVB - Dante - Contento

-------- Gustavo - Kroos -------------

Robben ----- Muller -------- Ribery

--------------- Mandzukic ------------

First half goals, Mandzukic from the penalty spot was almost blocked.

Second goal came from a Ribery through ball to Robben who chipped the keeper.

Second half we started in a 4-4-2

Boateng - Badstuber - DVB - Gustavo

Muller ---- Kroos ---- Tymo ---- Shaqiri

------------ Pizza -------- Gomez -----------

No goals as of yet.

Emre Can just checked on for Toni Kroos, 63 minutes
Mitchell Weiser on for Thomas Muller, 65 minutes

DVB just stood there with his arm up as Dejagah got behind him. Then he just laid the ball off to Pilar who finished in an open net. 2-1.

Final.

I thought the first half was good and the 2nd half wasn't bad. We had quite the lineup out there 2nd half haha I'm thinking if Gomez slips in form AT ALL mandzo n pizza will be there to relieve him of his duties. I shouldn't have taken pizza for being washed up, he's played well this preseason. Love the mandzo signing so far. I think we improved a lot without making any big splashes. Maybe we can get another defender in the winter window. Honestly it's terrifying back there right now, if anyone else gets hurt goddamn Gomez will have to play CB

He can still play like lamp post and not hurt the team this way. His wildly off target shots can now be considered "clearances"

It's worth a shot. We would be incredibly dangerous on set pieces too. I'll get word to Jupp ASAP to test him out next game.
