Yeah I think so too, I always forget how good the league is these days. frickin nervous, no doubt. I wonder if Finns shows bundesliga matches, I'd like to catch at least one Dortmund v Bayern game there.

I'm pretty late on this, but my thoughts on everything:

Jupp is old and stubborn and will change for nothing. I see a change coming in the next 2-3 years if not sooner. We need someone young and progressive to speed up the play. There were too many times this year that we were content to just hold onto the ball and not make a push forward.

I love the idea of getting Javi, but the price isn't right yet. I'm not a huge fan of Sahin, I would rather someone with a higher work rate to go with some creativity...an Arturo Vidal type. That could take some searching though.

The 3-4-2-1 looks good on paper, but I honestly think it would be a disaster. Badstuber often looks helpless when he's left alone, and he would be in that situation a lot in a 3 back formation. I also think pushing Lahm and Alaba forward would make them more lax on their defensive responsibilities.

As for the league, Dortmund still scares me, but if we can get inspired/hungry again, we will win the league. If we play flat all year we will finish 4th, Jupp will get axed and the team will be overhauled.

Jupp won't be here next year. I'm pretty certain that this is his last season at Bayern.

Sahin is creative and consistent (he was for BVB) we already have Luis Gustavo who can play destroyer pretty well.

The 3-4-2-1 is actually closer to a 5-2-2-1 on defense. Plus if you have Gustavo playing, he covers the back line well. I don't think it would work 100% of the time but I think it could work situationally.

Any of y'all read bundesliga fanatic? It's a pretty good blog. They have a podcast too but only during the season, I just found it a few weeks ago so haven't listened to the podcast.

Gomez surgery deemed a success and he's scheduled to begin rehab program in three weeks.

Have only seen the wolv friendly, but the writeups since then seem to have positives about Can and weiser which I like hearing. Also, much to my excitement, shaq and ribery seem to be working well off eachother.

Schwieni ankle not too serious - but the lingering and ongoing nature is a concern. Hate to red him as some have suggested but a hobbled player all year is no good.

Not sure what to make about the mini game tournament - 3 goals to WB is a lot but a pregame interview with jopp seemed to indicate they were coming in tired and he wasn't concerned about scores.

Canceled a friendly for mid-week due to injuries.

hh bundesliga fanatic it's a bundesliga site, so obviously not ever article is Bayern related, but i like it for expanding my grasp of german footy. got a few bundesliga.2 articles as well.

Tigerstark- Can is improving, but I dont think he'll start with the big boys. he still gives the ball away too easily. i think that hes always had a big physical advantage over youth players, now that he's with professionals he no longer has that advantage and has to use his skills more. he's only 19, so i have plenty of faith in him to develop. Apparently he fancies himself a forward going MF, so his slow start could also be related to the fact that he's trying to groom his skill set into a DM or LB. we shall see.
Weiser looks like he really fits in well with the squad. I'd like to see him start some Pokal matches and some lower tier BL matches.

the mini tourney was a complete disaster, not only did we not really play well, schweini and gomez both got injured. i'm not so much worried about losing on PK's to WB (only 2 goals BTW), just frustrating to play a bull shite preseason warm up and lose more bodies.

right now i'm not too positive about our first meeting with BVB this weekend, but it is a long season and i think we will prevail.

shaq is the shite

The official release has Gomez out 6 weeks, we'll survive. He blows arse against bvb anyway do I dont think Sunday's super cup will be affected. How does everyone see this one turning out? I'm gonna go negabayern and say we lose 3-2. It's on goltv btw.

Yeah, I'd be surprised if we won this game. Don't think Bayern is up to BVB's standards yet.

What jupp has hinted at/my prediction
----------neuer-----------------
Lahm, Dante, Badstuber, can
--------Gustavo, Kroos---------
----Robben, müller, Ribery ----
--------------mandzo--------------

What I'd like to see
--------------neuer------------------
Lahm, Dante, Badstuber, weiser
---------------Gustavo--------------
-------Kroos--------------müller-----
Robben------shaq------------Ribery

I just think we need to mix up things against bvb, this would be interesting. We used shaqiuri there in preseason on ocassion and he did quite well.

I think Shaq could play the false 9. I doubt Jupp has the nuts to do it.

I don't know if I like the trend of taking all of our center mid prospects and making them left backs. Let Weiser get a run out.

I think it would be pretty fun to watch my 2nd lineup play. I think we will see that sometime this season, not today though. Today is the day we probably need to see it though haha we don't need a tactics change to beat Mainz.
