No one will pass such a thing anytime soon because the youth today are the biggest bunch of pussies and most politicians realize that.

We'd fall even further behind on the freedom index.. but since when do republicans care about freedom

The only way mandatory conscription would sell well is in a crisis. World War II, for example. And volunteer armies tend to be more dedicated.
