Less. A politician should be smart enough and resourceful enough to have someone else do his arse-kicking for him.

Leaders should have, you know, basic leadership traits. If a politician has to perform criminal assaults with his own hands, then that's pretty much a disqualifier in my opinion.

I'm only being half-facetious here. Politics is an ugly world full of low-lifes and shameless charlatans. If you think you would enjoy spending five minutes of your time discussing anything with an elected official, you would be mistaken. That official certainly wouldn't enjoy more than 15 seconds with you. That's for sure. We elect people into office that you would never want to have in your house for a meal. So if I'm to vote for a scumbag, I would prefer to vote for an effective scumbag, who knows the rules of how to get away with being a scumbag. Either way you're getting a scumbag. But I prefer the scumbag I don't hear about.

Many on here would rather that politician outsource their dirty work.

I run into enough idiots like this driving around town. I don't want to read about another one every day as my elected representative.

In a republican primary, less. Against a liberal dem, doesn't matter.

I don't condone the behavior, but there are worse criminals in there voting against my beliefs. I don't need saints, I need votes
