It's difficult task to be "effective" with an 8-seat majority in an election year.

I just hope that he knows the people's mandate is not to find bipartisan solutions, it's to shut down Biden and the libs. His badge of honor should be a running tally of bills that passed with no democrat support, were defeated in the Senate, or vetoed by Biden.

It's honestly kinda weird that either party would ever be "united".
In fact, I think it's a testament to the fact that at the least, Republicans have more principles than Democrats.
Because the reality is, a Democrat from San Fran or Seattle has about as much in common with Maxine Waters as I do with the typical person from Bangladesh.
And, Repubs from disparate parts of the country are just as different.
So, it's absurd that the Democrats can routinely appear to be one hive mind. And, it would be absurd of Repubs could too!

The Republicans, well, a subset of them, have absolutely no desire to be united.
Asking the far right to be united with the rest of the GOP is like asking Hamas to be united with Hezbollah.
Perhaps occasionally they have osme similar goals, but they are not united and don't want to be united.
Scalise is my congressman. I can't ever remember him voting for a major issue that I had a huge problem with.
