So many post election stories of salty tears. I like this one.

AP isn't the original drummer. Technically it was Rickie Medlocke (now their guitarist) but most (even the band) say Bob Burns was the original drummer.
Ed is a different story and most believe he's an original.

I remember when Clinton announced her campaign headquarters would be located in Brooklyn...hipster Brooklyn not the FDNY, GoodFellas 'Murica Brooklyn.
Said everything about what her campaign and her base would be about.

You would be safe in the southern part of it. With the men and women you have real jobs and act like real Americans.

They do know that Sweet Home Alabama is a civil rights song right?
They don't?
So their triggering is completely based on ignorance
Am I surprised?

For his part, Young would eventually agree that he had painted the South with too broad a brush. In his 2012 autobiography “Waging Heavy Peace,” Young would write, “My own song ‘Alabama’ richly deserved the shot Lynyrd Skynyrd gave me with their great record. I don’t like my words when I listen to it. They are accusatory and condescending, not fully thought out, and too easy to misconstrue.”
Neil Young is still an a-hole.

Ehhh. I think that's stretching things a little bit.

The campaign that emerged from Brooklyn didn’t just attack the politics of people who don’t live in big cities. It attacked their entire way of life, and promised it was dying.
This is exactly what happened.

In honor of this occurrence I just cranked "Sweet Home Alabama" and am thoroughly enjoying it.

A southern man don't need you around anyhow.
And people wonder why the Southern states are so red. It has a lot to do with a cultural clash. They don't like us, and we sure as hell don't like their asses.
Oh, and FTR... lynyrd skynyrd has arse loads more musical talent than Neil Young, who has one of the weakest garbage voices in music. He definitely sold his soul. There is no other excuse for his fame.
