SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED

You clearly don't know what the 2nd amendment is for and you also seem challenged on history as well as human nature.

No.
Wonder why you left out feral hogs. That is the invasion I use my ar15 for.
Why do you want a feral, invasive species to continue to cause billions of dollars in damages every year?

Because its a made-up term.
How about special permits for AIDS trampolines or attack penguins?

Ok, let’s go the same for the rest of our rights. You may not be in social media or on the internet without a state issued permit. 4th amendment… if you don’t have a state issued permit then you don’t get that protection. In court if you do not testify against yourself…. Better have a state issued permit. Want to not have your punishment be cruel and unusual? Let me see that permit.
Do you see how this works? Is this too hard to think and reason through? 400,000,000 million firearms are currently in private hands in the US, over 100,000,000 are center fire semiautomatic mag fed firearms. Why strip or and a burden to the constitutionally protected rights of those firearms owners because a handful of people chose to be criminals.

"Assault rifle" is a scary sounding Boogeyman term designed to manipulate you into doing something foolish.

and extensive vetting? seems like common sense at this point.
A well regulated militia, being necessary for the security of a free state, THE RIGHT OF THE PEOPLE TO KEEP AND BEAR ARMS SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED.

1) we are never getting invaded by anyone so don't mention ukraine to me as a reason.

2) if you're worried about the american government turning tyrannical on its citizens and using force....that battle is already lost. america is the strongest military in history. if they want to get you, they will. even if your house is stock piled with machine guns. they will simply send a drone over your house and bomb the shite out of you.
2) Political pressure prevented the same military from defeating North Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan, but you are telling me that our politicians will use the same military to annihilate American citizens on American soil, with CNN, Fox News, CBS, NBC, ABC, and MSNBC broadcasting the bloody carnage live? Okay. Have you considered what the response of 50 million or so armed patriots might be, once the government decides to start killing its own people?

“The right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed”
It doesn’t say a frickin’ thing about permits or licenses being required.

what’s it like having such a simple mind?
it’s easy…target the wife, kids and parents of the Drone pilots and those government officials who are giving the orders.
the simpletons who think “war” will be “easy” because government has “tanks and planes” are hilarious. there would be so much dissension and spies at every level of the military and police forces sabotaging and leaking info. armed citizens on every road and in every neighborhood where government officials friends and and families live. the amount of bloodshed would be unreal
also, please give a definition of “Assault Rifles” please, just so we can have a starting point for conversation

Here's your common sense to address this issue...
Address the humans upbringing, social exposure and moral foundation
All of these to which the government has supported and encouraged to destroy

Hell yeah. I mean just look at the way we kicked the shite out of all of those goat frickers in Afghanistan. No way 100 million armed Americans could do anything to our military that is more worried about pregnant flight suits and trannies than actual combat training.

You obviously don’t care about the Constitution nor the history around it.
Also define assault rifle?
Also define special permit and who should be allowed to have said permit or not? Would somebody that has a differing political leaning be allowed to have the permit? We see what the “left” has done to hetero white males. Next will they go after “conservatives”. And before you answer look at history in other countries!

Because the government can’t be trusted to not continuing to chip away. It’s a new law here a new law there. Forced insurance here, lawsuits against gun manufacturers there. Unjustified confiscation here, false prosecution there.
No more gun laws. Fix the mental health crisis we face, bring god back, bring responsibility back, bring fathers back…… you know, basically eliminate leftism in this country

Define an "assault rifle"? Because these two guns shoot the exact same round.
Is the one at the bottom an "assault rifle" because it looks "scarier"? Because it has a pistol grip? Is it because one has a multi-round magazine while the other is a bolt action? Is it because one is semi-automatic while the other is not?
So is any gun that is semi-automatic (such as some 12 gauge shotguns, or a .308 caliber handgun) an "assault rifle" mandating a special permit?
Or is the argument that guns with high capacity magazines constitute an "assault rifle"? If so, what is the requisite magazine capacity to require a special permit? 6, 10, 15?
The opposition to your proposal is that you are proposing a special permit for an undefined type of gun. An AR-15 is essentially just a .223 rifle. It being considered an "assault rifle" is simply a subjective label.

The government is comprised of humans who have to enforce their decisions. I want them to know their is a gun behind every American front door when making these decisions.
They work for us, it’s pretty tempting to make it the other way around when they are the only ones with firearms.
See Australia and their Covid camps
