White people feeling the pangs of change

A poster said last night (paraphrasing) that affluent whites are struggling and will continue to struggle with the erosion of their social, political, and economic power. Said that explains all the anger among whites about the protests, etc.
I won't lie. I got that beautiful and pure white skin, and I've been angry. And in talking about all this shite IRL, I have explained that my problem is how little people seem to care about the law when judging a police officer's actions. I am also bothered at how easily and without evidence people ascribe race as a motive for various deeds.
But maybe there is something to this whole "white people losing their grip" thing. Maybe I am, we whites are, just coming to terms with the fact that being white isn't going to be as awesome as it used to be. What do you think?

Being white doesn't put me in the "awesome" category. However, being a decent human being does. I ask no other race other than mine to be like me as a white man but I do expect them to be like decent people to all. Might be a pipe dream but when we lose our decency then color has no monopoly.

If there is any anger, it's because whites are frustrated that blacks continue to bring upon a bad perception of themselves and harm to their cause when they stand (almost universally) together for a victim that fits the "profile".

Whites do not act as a group, we mostly see things as individuals. This white privilege crap is just a new politically correct term invented to justify victimhood for minorities.
ALL lives should matter. But life is what you make of it. No matter who you are. If you try to better yourself, you probably will. If you run with thugs and scum and blame others for your plight instead of working hard and trying to move up, your life will probably suck.

Agree on white privilege being PC crap...just another media distraction IMO. It continues to give certain groups a fallback excuse for not improving.

Ok, this has been my mindset for years and years...but as I listen to liberal people who argue back, I am trying go beyond the simple. 2 and 2 is 4.
The truth is, if you are born into a poor community and all you know is a certain way of living and thinking (surviving) do you not become your environment? This is normal in your eyes. yet you know it's not right by America's standard of living thus you grow feeling betrayed and undervalued with little hope.
So we need to have compassion on poor minority children as well as having a righteous anger towards repeated sins that continue to harm generations.
All of this goes back to the sins committed by whites who formed this great nation. They were just sinfully wrong. We have it right now, but the consequences are for us to deal with.
Where does this leave us? It leaves very divided, frustrated because we lack understanding of one another.
We must seek to understand the behavior that is obviously wrong or unlawful.

As long as I'm employed and paying taxes, there are many (not all) black people who will curse me at the same time they accept my tax money as their due.

Affluent whites will and are doing just fine. The so called middle and poor whites are the ones who feel the pressure, as their families have become just as degenerate as minorities, or they are forced to expend more and more income in trying to avoid such things to no avail.

No matter who you are in this country, you should have at least the opportunity to get a good education. Rich or poor. Now what you do with it, that is on you.
I differ with you on the sins of the past. Take Asians for example. When they came here, they were probably valued even less than black people. Cheap labor and they had NOTHING. Now look at them, they rose from nothing to largely be something. It has been done .
I had no control over what happened in the past. I nor ANY one else can go back and change a thing. I flatly reject taking responsibility for what some ignorant fool did years ago.
Everyone should have the opportunity to better themselves, and nowadays the opportunities are there for those willing to work and grab hold. If you wallow in victimhood, you won't get very far.

The racial divisions and riots up north really don't effect me down south. My associations with friends, colleagues, and acquaintance haven't changed since the riots up north started. So, IDK.

Maybe you didn't mean what you wrote. There are plenty of affluent minorities minorities around here, and more degenerate white trash than you can swing a dead cat at. I'm not worried about a race war, but I do worry about the culture war, and the side that's kept the lights on and raised productive citizens are on the losing side.
