WASHINGTON — ESPN should consider firing host Jemele Hill for calling President Donald Trump a “white supremacist,” White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders says.

“I think that’s one of the more outrageous comments that anyone could make, and certainly something that I think is a fireable offense by ESPN,” Sanders said during Wednesday’s press briefing.

Well, she's not wrong, but that's up to ESPN.

Equality for all.

Schilling gets fired. Hill should be fired. Equality. Liberals cry for it all the time

It's been discussed ad nauseum today, but based on ESPN's precedent set by firing Curt Schilling for less, then yes it is a fireable offense.

She only did it to get viewers due to the shows awful ratings

While I agree with the point, it's pretty inappropriate for the White House to take a stance on how a company in the private sector should handle it's employees.

I mean she called everyone that voted for Trump a white supremacist. That's pretty shitty.

I do think it's stupid that Sanders would say what a business should do in response.

Disagree, you're letting her off the hook. I think she's an angry race baiter by nature, given her past statements over the years.

ESPN would have fired any employee who said Obama was wearing an ugly tie.

Even if it involves slandering the President?

Yes, it's not the WH press secretary's job to tell a private sector business what to do with their employees

Uh, did you watch the Obama administration the last 8 years?

They took a stance on not only selling doughnuts or cakes but who was going to win the NCAA tournament.

Obama opened the door - wide - to inject and comment on private businesses and lets not act like ESPN is some Mom and Pop bakery.

They are Soros.

If she weren't a black female, she would be applying at MSNBC right now. She wouldn't be at ESPN

Yep. I don't even know why she would comment on it. Well, except that Trump told her to

When someone comments directly on the president (not disagreement on a policy), it's extremely reasonable to respond.
