I doubt he has the wherewithal to make it himself. So who's his "dealer"?
BTW, career deceivers Obama, Rice, and Kerry have all gone on record in the last few years proclaiming Assad had divested himself of the stuff. Ooops - there it is...

How is the gas deployed? Is it by bombs? How far does it spread?

Correct but along with the original stockpile came the tools and knowledge to create more.

Making it is one thing. Making itvweapons grade is another. And Weaponizing it is yet another.

I'm not even sure it was weapons grade when he bought it from us.

Bombs, also by artillery shells. Spreading of any agent like that depends on the wind. Chlorine gas, sarin, mustard all that depends on aerial spreading unless it gets right on you.
They found a bunch of old arty shells with sarin in them from the '80s in Iraq in 2003. It was invented in Germany in the late 1930's.
In the Marines we were taught to look for dead animals and birds as a sign of chemical attack. Also if you observed artillery shells bursting with a reduced charge (that is, not high explosive) that might indicate a chemical attack. The chem suits we had were supposed to keep out contamination for up to 30 days. That is if you got a blob of the stuff right on your suit.
Tokyo subway sarin attack
Tokyo subway sarin attack
The Tokyo subway sarin attack, usually referred to in the Japanese media as the Subway Sarin Incident (???????? Chikatetsu Sarin Jiken?), was an act of domestic terrorism perpetrated on March 20, 1995, in Tokyo, Japan, by members of the cult movement Aum Shinrikyo.
In five coordinated attacks, the perpetrators released sarin on three lines of the present-day Tokyo Metro (then part of the Tokyo subway) during the rush hour, killing 12 people, severely injuring 50 and causing temporary vision problems for nearly 5,000 others. The attack was directed against trains passing through Kasumigaseki and Nagatacho, home to the Japanese government. Until the Myojo 56 building fire on September 1, 2001, it was the deadliest incident to occur in Japan since the end of World War II."

Subways are the perfect target. Lots of people in an enclosed space.

There is no proof that happened. And boy, they looked for it at the time.
Bush and the other lying fricks fabricated evidence of Iraq having nuclear weapons, 'the smoking gun being a mushroom cloud.' That was a fricking lie.

And, again, that shite stopped being weapons grade years ago.
Anytime chemical weapons turn up anywhere in the world, it came from Sadam's Iraq.

See, this looks funny to me. A subway is the perfect place for such an attack. An enclosed space with lots of people. Only 12 people died in this attack.
But what is it now, 58 people died in the attack in Syria? An attack by munitions delivered in the open should have a lot less effect. And where are the people peripherally affected? Those with temporary blindness and other symptoms. As I recall hearing back in the day, unless you got seriously exposed, it was possible for the effects to wear off. Sarin and its lovely cousin VX attack your nervous symptom. They shut down your diaphragm and you can't breathe. If you can survive that, you might well recover.
Once I knew an Army reserve major who was a chemical warfare expert. I said, "Do you know what the VX shuffle is?"
He said, "You Marines are sick."
VX can cause uncontrollable trembling usually as a precursor to death. This is called the VX shuffle.
