Just wondering what the process would be to get it changed to where we could cut things other than education and hospitals.

A new Governor and the retirement of John Alario.

Just rewrite the Constitution. Edwin Edwards had it done. Do it again.

A thug piece of shite like Edwin Edwards being a part of that process was exactly the problem and why it was doomed for failure.
Simply rewriting it is not enough, we also have to have the right people in honest, smart and responsible fiscal conservatives handling it also.

It won't matter. The big money is spent on health care and education. When cuts are made that's where the money is, protected by a constitution or not.

I agree. Bring back the single 4 year term limit for governor that McKeithen had removed. You can be governor a second term, just not consecutively. I don't want another Bobby Jindal type running this state for 8 years.

Good question. This should have been done long ago.
