Send them BACK
See, this is the problem. We have a huge contingent on the Right that does not understand the economic significance of the immigrants. They are a gigantic, and important, part of our economy, which would tank if we sent them back.
A large part of the reason for our current inflation is the lack of immigrants, many of whom went home during the pandemic. This created shortages on the supply side, resulting in higher prices, as predicted by the Supply/Demand curves we were shown in Econ101.
Notice that no matter whether Republicans or Democrats are in power, nothing really gets done about immigration. That is not because we have a uniparty; it is because everyone with a brain, who understands the supply and demand curve, knows that a country with a below replacement birth rate needs massive immigration to sustain economic prosperity.

That’d be a logical place to start ….

Let's get all able-bodied American men working before we worry about labor shortages, okay?

Dude, at least give the meme you stole this from credit.

We should round them up and send them back to their home countries and have them apply for asylum according to our laws. That's what a real country would do, but we are not a functioning country with borders, so we will do nothing. The Democrats will register as many as they can to vote and claim that they are citizens.

A next to impossible task.
I’m all for it in theory.
In practice?
Inconceivable.
The situation must never be allowed to occur initially.
A square circle or 4-sided triangle are more likely than is the task of identifying the millions of illegal aliens who are already here.

Time for America to take some of Mexico's land and make an extension of America. Back in the day, countries conquered land and took it if they wanted it. Why is this off limits now? If Mexico wants to make its citizens our problem, we should let them share in the problem.

100% agree. If there is no one to employ them, then most will go back on their own.

Set up a program where anyone here illegally can sign up for a work visa. In order to maintain that visa they must maintain a job and check in with the program monthly. If not, they go back. If they can prove their worth to this country then there could be a path to citizenship. Maybe this program already exists.

Good luck with that. Wages are at an all time high and employers still can't find anyone willing to work. We need to cutoff the subsidies to our own citizens as well.

Wouldn't those be better used to house our own 2 million+ homeless US Citizens than spending the money on illegal immigrants

Pay them reparations for something, provide them housing at taxpayer expense, provide drag queen story time and collect their votes for the next election.

I'll gladly pay more to get rid of the trash.
The trash sucks at the teat of the welfare system.
They believe they are "special" and don't have to follow the rules.
We need to slowly torture people that hire them.

I think everyone understands the significance. We also understand that most politicians who vote for amnesty will lose reelection as things stand currently.
Finally, we understand that if we finished the wall and started deporting every illegal alien, a bill wioul be on the President's desk within a week that will clarify the immigration requirements and provide for some sort of worker visa foe migrant workers - where they would not be eligible for citizenship, but would legally be able to stay as long as they had a job and paid taxes.
If we keep playing footsie with the issue, nothing will change.

No the problem is people like you who want to ignore the law. Just because it’s difficult doesn’t mean you give up. We are being invaded, yet people like you point to us and say we are the problem. If we are to continue as a country, we have to follow laws whether we like them or think they’re unenforceable. If enough people object to the laws, then change them. Don’t destroy the country for any reason.
