Wonder if Native Americans hold a grudge against whole groups of people like that...
Even if they did, there's not enough of them left to do anything about it.

Then don't worry about a few fanatics in the M.E. Unless we stir the next, they'll go back in time without disturbing us.

It's too late for that. We stirred the nest. They are swarming and the only way to defeat a swarm is to run as far away from it as fast as possible, or kill the swarm before it overcomes you. Americans don't run. So that leaves the latter option.

quote:First of all, I don't post in anywhere near "literally every current event discussed here" so that statement is absurd. Secondly, you don't believe that elites use smokescreens to hide what's "really going on," which is nothing more than profitting from the maintaining of the status quo? You can't possibly think the elite play by the rules and have everyone's best interests at heart.
I don't doubt that there are people who profit from maintaining the status quo.
I do doubt that literally every current event discussed here is a puppet show by the elites to be a smokescreen for what's "really going on".

I couldn't give a shite less about what the elite want or don't want. All I know is that I want to be a part of their club.
When did my country fall into the trap of socialism and communism and start hating the rich and successful in this country?

See, this is the very reason why I continue to hammer this board on the ills of propaganda. You are the shining example. Thanks for that.

Yep. That's why I always roll my eyes at the hippies who claim war solves nothing. War settles everything more often than not. And, if it doesn't, there's usually another war that follows close behind that finishes the job.
Aside from WWII, and maybe some scattered civil wars we had little part in, there really weren't that many wars worth fighting last year, at least from our end.

War is part of the human condition. It is in our nature to wage violence on a massive scale and has been true for our species since man first crawled out of the slime. It's wired in our genes. Since 1945, we have been fighting desperately to ignore that ancient instinct. And while we have the whole world has gone to hell. The Middle East is on fire, thousands die in regional conflicts almost every day, and nothing gets solved. It's past time for another global conflict, a conflict that will reaffirm the status quo and rid the world of a lot of the bad blood that has overflown its veins.
Spoken like only a fool in the midst of Pax Americana could.

I'm actually glad you brought up Vietnam because that, and to a lesser extent Korea, is where America's new pussified military doctrine really started taking effect. Had I been alive and in charge, with the kind of authority I envision, there would be no Vietnam today. At least in terms of habitability.
The politicians cost us that war. They made us run. All of them should have been lined up against a wall and shot for their incompetence.

Possibly. Once the Middle East is finished we, as a nation, need to take a look at ourselves in the mirror and find those responsible for this mess on our end.

The sad thing is some enterprising chess player will happily send your checkers arse off to die for his bottom line, and you sound like you'd be all too happy to go
I hope you don't have kids.

You call it war profiteering. I call it capitalism. How are the two different?

See...I don't just want to be a chess player. I want to be THE chess player.
A new world order is coming. Its power is at hand.

The last thing a person this confused should be doing is picking up a weapon.
