After looking at this list, I can't help but wonder why the frick these organizations existed in the first place.

To suck tax dollars into the pockets of useless bureaucrats who..like Bernie Sanders..would be selling flowers on the street corner if not for the government teet he was able to latch onto.

Which of these things, do you think, would turn a profit if privatized?

Non profit organizations.

How do these cuts suggest he isn't "president for everyone?"
National debt control helps all, even if you're too simple and short-sighted to understand.

Erroneous argument.

Does the fire department turn a profit? The police department (well, maybe, depending on the city and how much they are willing to write tickets and confiscate property)?

Does the road turn a profit? The military?

Should we see about privatizing all of these?

Your argument is based on assuming the slashed departments are as needed or beneficial as roads, police, and fire departments. They aren't.

Is NPR included in these cuts? There is absolutely no reason that our tax dollars should be funding partisan public radio. If NPR wants to stay on the air, they should do like every other radio station, and pay their own way.

If you have a problem with military spending then you need to complain about our worldwide commitments that demand that level of expense. I don't remember the left complaining about our numerous wars and worldwide commitments like NATO when Obama was president. you can't support wars in Syria, Libya, Iraq, Afghanistan and other parts of the world and also support the guaranteed defense of Europe and then complain about how much it costs to meet those commitments.

Well that isn't the point. The point is that these cuts in spending you trumpkins are falling all over yourselves for aren't shrinking the deficit. He is just reallocating the money elsewhere.

The Denali Commission????

This tiny agency's own watch dog says it should be canceled
quote:

Two years ago this month, the Denali Commission and its 12 employees exploded into national headlines when its own watchdog declared that it should be put out of business. The inspector general told Congress that the tiny federal agency had lost its way and its budget and recommended it be deep-sixed.

In order to justify the tax dollars that they consume under the Obama administration, they started blowing climate change advocates and partnering with the Chicken Little's of the world.

Chemical Safety Board

Despite its important-sounding name, here's a waste for you.

The Board does investigate industrial accidents (like the fertilizer plant explosion in West, Texas).

However, the Board has no legal authority to require anyone (the Feds, the state or local authorities, or private parties) to take any action in response to its recommendations.

Furthermore, its reports cannot be used to take any legal action against anyone. EPA cannot use the reports to fine the company--they have to do their own, separate investigation for that. Injured parties (or families/estates of deceased ones) cannot use them in a civil action.

Essentially it is little more than a taxpayer-funded post-incident consulting firm.

Not all accidents are cause for legal action against a company, but knowing the root cause and publicizing it can and does save lives. You can't depend on a private company to look out for the benefit of other companies.

You don't remember the left opposing the war in Iraq?
The left opposed Iraq because a Republican was president. They were all about the Iraq war until they could use it to win elections.

And they certainly weren't against quintupling the amount of troops in Afghanistan, getting involved in the Syrian civil war Syria or starting a war in Libya. And they damn sure have no problem subsidizing and guaranteeing Europe's defense(hint:that costs more money than the wars in the Middle East)

I'm not asking them to be saved or cut. I was curious what the savings would be. I'm for eliminating waste even if they are just drops in a bucket.
