Gender Pronouns - HSU Qweers

GarmischTiger, that page is legit, right? Or is it mocking all this?

I have reached a point where the line between reality and comedy has disappeared.

OP, I've heard as many as 80% of the student body is from out of state, many of those numbers from the West & Upper East Coast as noted here. Is that a realistic percentage?

80% is definitely a realistic percentage. Possibly closer to 85% in all honesty. Tulane is by no means reflective of the political views of university students in Louisiana as a whole. Especially not those from Louisiana.

Not quite. I was there '01-'04. Took the long route for the degree. Started married with no kids, finished divorced with two kids. That slowed the course load considerably.

The gender pronoun phenomenon on college campuses stems from sociological theory which teaches that gender is a social construct and biological gender is unrelated to “gender identity” and “gender expression.”

So instead of wanting to have a decent, rational, intelligent conversation with someone, you'd rather focus on a fairly minor detail causing a normal person to become uncomfortable or afraid to talk to you because they have to choose their words carefully because you are too sensitive to get over a fricking pronoun when you can't even decide what pronoun you are.

I have a niece at Tulane from the DC area. I wouldn't consider her the SJW type, but she's definitely liberal. And her roommate is from NYC.

I actually trolled her and her older sister at Boston College by text after Trump won.

If they want to be so gender non-specific, why do they insist on the specificity?

I don't think these kids know what the frick they want.. except to complain and come up with this off the wall bullshite for people to try and keep up with. It's a load of crap.

I have a degree from LSU and a degree from Tulane. While I have some life-long friends from my time at Tulane, and it was pretty awesome living uptown while young, I hated pretty much everything about that university and the culture.

I will never, ever, give a single penny to Tulane. I give regularly to LSU.

Even though scientifically a girl is a girl and a boy is a boy, I will be polite and refer to a trans by the gender of his/her choosing regardless of what is reality.

But it'll be a cold day in Hell before I refer to a person as "Ze" or "They".

That's my take on it as well.

Willfully misgendering someone is a dick move. You also risk accusing an unattractive woman of being a tranny.

The same "school of thought" that has attempted to qualify the meaning of racism as "privelege + power" instead of its real definition. These people need to get slapped down - badly.

As for Tulane, you can't have that many jewish chicks at your school and not have it eventually turn into a shrill SJW shitfest. It was only a matter of time.

I went to Tulane for undergrad 1990-1994. I can't believe this crap. It was almost completely apolitical when I was there.
