I have to agree, anyone with any common sense realizes WWIII with Nukes destroys the world, no one wants that not even Putin.

Fascinating interview.

3/4 way through...one thing he just said is 1000% true. Using the dollar as a weapon is stupid and will only hurt us in the long run.

It is incredibly stupid

My power went out 10 minutes into watching the interview and just came back on. Cell towers were out too. I thought they had shut it all down after the video dropped.

Putin had an agenda.
Tucker had an agenda.

Truth has no agenda.

Don't overthink it.

There is nothing inherently wrong with interviewing a world leader -- even (maybe especially) a despotic, shitty one. What there is a LOT wrong with is doing so in order to be a fawning simp and simply amplifying that leader's message instead of questioning and challenging it. Which direction do you think Tucker will go? Yeah, a real shocker there.

The WSJ reporter talk was really amazing. If Putin was smart he would release the reporter as a big shot to the Corporate owned media.

Folks, don’t read too much into this. Putin gets to be in control the entire time. Tucker gets to pretend he interviewed a combative, tough Putin like a real big boy journalist. Both burnish the credibility of this charade with no more cost than a bit of name calling, that Tucker’s been called before.

Yep.
A few things I gathered. If he's being honest.

Putin is intelligent, matter of fact, historically accurate, not naive, loves his country, no bullshite kind of guy, calls it like he sees it, wants peace for the world, and wants to eradicate nazis.

He's been referred to as a bully, but he's been bullied & decided to fight back. We are not border countries so no point in directly going to war with the U.S.

It's hard to believe I agree with a Russian president on certain issues, and ashamed of my own government, as it's so far down the shitter with corruption.

What a time to be alive.

The history lesson bores me

People say this, then say Russia has no claim to Ukraine if you're not going to listen to the history of why Russia feels they're in the right, you can't comment on it

ETA: I am not saying Russia is in the right with Ukraine at all.

Your decades long bias is influencing your views, I dropped mine in 2016, and my view of the world has never been more clear.

Putin, and Russia, is not the evil threat I grew up believing it to be.

It shows the difference in mindset between Eastern Europe/Asia and the West. They think in terms of history and the long game future. The West thinks about the current 5 seconds they're living in.

I love America, but we are such a young country and there's not much history here. Hell, and what does exist is being torn down en masse.

A lot of other countries have thousands and thousands of years of sacrifice, blood, sweat, and tears built into the fabric of their societies.

Finished the entire interview. Putin was veey measured and had well thought out responses. He had plenty of chances to blast the US and Europe and take shots at individual administrations but never did. He layed out how things happened from the Russian side in a way that didnt antagonize. Its clear to me that he wants the Ukraine war to end and wants to be a partner of the global community, not an antagonist.

Its clear from this interview that the unelected part of the US government wields destructive power and are beholden to more than just elected politicians.

I dont care what you Zelensky bros say, I
have more respect for Putin and trust his word more than almost anyone in DC.

The only thing I think was real BS was the neo-Nazi angle...but I do concede that Russians have much more engrained hate for Nazis than id ever really understand.

Not one more dollar should be spent sending weapons to Ukraine...and the world needs to accept that the territory Russia currently has there will be Russian.

From WW2: 27 million Russians dead, including 19 million civilians and nearly 3 million POWs that were starved and frozen to death by the nazis.

It is hearing from Putin’s perspective.

Putin is more centered around 2014 as the beginning of the conflict. We are more centered around February 2022.

I listen to a podcast right after this war started by two Russians, they said this about Dunbass...

Putin confirmed tonight

2014

Amazing perspective

One side seems right until the other speaks
