They usually don't try. You know, like Trump. Who claims he's lied about more than he is lied about.
Which is, you know, also lying.
By all means, Donald, go after those who lie about you. I fully support him as to actual lies.

How can you believe a lie fact checker, that blatantly lies????
Its pretty damn factual

Several people close to Trump have told @gabrielsherman that Trump is "unstable," "losing a step," and "unraveling."
Here's one

Bingo. Which is what Trump is referring to here. But of course, the resident liberal progs take this and run that he wants to censor free speech.
Blatant, intentional lies and misleading the American people have no place in our society. People trust the press.

I have high hope so that trump pulls nbc’s license. We will enter the game over phase of his belly flop

You're not wrong as to the press.
The problem, of course, is that Trump and Trump supporters are also dishonest. While the press should be held to a higher standard, a sometimes dishonest group of extremely loyal Trump supporters probably isn't a reliable check on the honesty of media if we're going to bestow them with the authority to censor or restrict.

Even a democracy like the UK has libel laws. That are followed
The libel laws in the UK are much tougher on the media and yet the British tabloid media is way more vicious than most of the media here, and they're full of shite a lot of the time.
But they get away with it because high priced lawyers are good at their jobs.
For many years large companies like McDonald's were using British libel laws and the ruinous cost of defending accusations of libel to basically crush anyone who exposed them. It's a problem.

Is it really Free if we don't take advantage of it, and just schill for Dems?

They'd have to be maliciously and knowingly slandering in Trump's case. He's a public figure.

Trump really comes off as a huge baby at times.

This is exactly what is happening. The media doesn’t like that they’re being called out, and they are retaliating by putting out misleading stories and/or bold faced lies about a sitting president.
There’s a point when it jumps from legit criticism to lies/libel/slander.
A lot of the stories they put out are teetering on the edge of that line.

Ok, sounds fun. Let's agree on what a lie is first.
"You can keep your doctor"
If he genuinely knew and understood that many people couldn't keep their doctors, that's a lie.
If he believed that it was true, with reason, but then unforeseeable factors affected things, that's not a lie.
If something looked to be true then didn't end up being correct because of foreseeable likely factors, IMO you can call that a lie but a better term is dishonest.
If he was just genuinely clueless, that's not a lie.
If he was failing to talk in an absolute manner, i.e. 99.999% of people can keep their doctors, that's not a lie.
I'll find some Trump statements...

Its one thing to freely discuss opinions as opinions. Its a whole another thing to pass out right lies as truthful news. The latter is the state of today's propaganda media.

I don't know how anyone can watch CNN and not completely ignore them considering their lie of a mission/vision statement.
They can't even refrain from lying about their own objectivity.
