Yes they are. "Sanctuary Cities" don't prevent federal law enforcement from detaining illegals. Once again, you've proven to everyone that you've never read a book in your life.

What are you talking about. He's signing a executive order that he thinks will take precedent over a clearly worded Constitutional Amendment. How is that starting a conversation?

The words in the first sentence of the Amendment couldn't be clearer.

If you want it changed there is a clearly defined way to go about changing it but as the 2nd Amendment folks around here keep screaming, you can't ignore an Amendment just because you don't like it.

And the "subject to the jurisdiction of the United States" is clearly referencing the person born, not the parents.

Obama essentially neutered Border Patrol through department memos. It was so bad that drug mules would cross the border, drop their packages, find the closest highway and flag down BP or have someone call BP to come pick them up and take them to the border where they would be allowed to go back across. One BP agent told me they were essentially a free taxi service for the cartels.

The 14th Amendment was ratified to grant citizenship to newly-freed slaves, not illegal border jumpers who cross in to the United States simply to have an "American" child. I am firmly on board with abolishing this amendment. The Left always wants to be like Europe, where at least one parent has to be a citizen in order for the child to have birthright citizenship. The USA should adopt such a policy.

That may have been his intent, but that wasn't the intent of the other members of Congress.

If they wanted exceptions, then they could have stated those exceptions in the 14th A.
