You're not making the point I think you're hoping.

It's the same with income tax deductions. It's legal and it's an advantage he (and yourself) can employ to ensure that you make/keep as much of your money as possible. That would be like bitching because Citizen Trump's limo took the express lane because he paid the toll.

If it's no longer permissible, you'll see it stop.

Go ahead and amend the 14th Amendment then.

Good post. I completely agree with you about the pervasiveness of executive orders and what’s likely to come with this this one in particular. I just hate that our system is so broken that we have to resort to this. In a well functioning system this would go through the legislature, but now The Supreme Court Makes most of our laws.

There isn't a problem with 14A in essence. The issues lies within what has been historically an unconstitutional interpretation of the last 40 years, thanks to liberal activists on the courts who have a soft spot for anchor babies and illegals who seek to breed like vermin in the shadows the moment they get here.

It's worth me toning that your icon RBG is so senile and addled that she couldn't remember which amendment was 14, back at the end of the summer.

The 14th Amendment begins:
“All persons born or naturalized in the United States and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside”

And to try to change that clear and direct language of the 14th A by an executive order is simply stupid.

That is not setting up a court battle or framing an issue for discussion.

That is simply stupid and a waste of time.

There are ashitload of very wealthy Asians and people from the Middle East that come here to give birth so the child can be a US citizen, Not to mention a shitload of illegal aliens, Long overdue move to take out this ridiculous loophole

Really doubt an executive order can do it.

Maybe a law if fashioned correctly can do it. Will hang on the "subject to the jurisdiction" phrase.

There is still room to debate the constitutionality of birthright citizenship.

For example. The children of diplomats born in the US are not granted Citizenship.

No, a law cannot violate the 14th Amendment either.

The 14th A is as clear and direct as it gets. If you are born here then you are a citizen, period.

Nothing short of an Amendment to the 14th A will change that.
