1. SK would have overrun NK. (Not likely as China would not have allowed that to happen.)

It started right after Japan was defeated in WW2. We were so afraid of the spread of Communism (as opposed to letting it fail on its own) that we set up the 38th parallel. The Soviets installed their puppet leader in the North and we installed our puppet leader in the South. Then both the Soviet Union and the US began propaganda wars in each country against the other, making both countries hate each other.

What could go wrong when we brainwash entire populations to hate each other because of an irrational fear of an economic system in another country? Well, they have technically been at war for over 50 years now.

Now we share blame equally with Russia and China, but we aren't really some freedom loving force here.
