Trump surge: result of being read in?

Read in, as in a huge cup of Jesus talk with Pentagon officials and IC as to why it's not in the USA's interest to just roll out. And there better be some real significant reasoning and or proven foiling of mainland USA terrorists attacks by being in that shitststain of a country.
All I can think of considering then cadidate Trump tweeted the following:

Probably read in. But read in to what? I distrust the IC, so I'm skeptical. A couple of guys on here claim to be, or have been, in IC. I'm more skeptical.

On this point, I must concede.
He needs to lay out some of this intelligence or whatever he was told by the Pentagon to do this complete 180. Otherwise, Bannon is proving to be right.

We're still in Germany, Japan, and South Korea. Why would we pull out of Afghanistan when it is a far more dangerous place? The fact is, we will be in Afghanistan permanently just like we are in those other countries.

There's no reason for us to stay in Afghanistan. None. There was never a reason for our regular infantry to be there.

...we're deploying 4000 more troops with ROE's being.."kill the enemy". Then we go home. Period.

OK so what you're saying is that your opinion of strategy supercedes the collective knowledge of our military and intelligence officials who made the plans? You do realize they were privvy to classified information on which they based decisions on that you will never posses right...but you know more than they do and express this knowledge as factual information. Wow!
