He's for the people alright, the corporate ones.

quote:

.S. President Donald Trump on Monday signed a repeal of Obama-era broadband privacy rules, the White House said.

Republicans in Congress last week narrowly passed the repeal of the privacy rules with no Democratic support and over the strong objections of privacy advocates.

The signing, disclosed in White House statement late on Monday, follows strong criticism of the bill, which is a win for AT&T, Comcast and Verizon Communications.

When he decides to take on NN a shite storm will follow. Especially with his tech savvy voters in the 18 to 40 age group.

What, no photo op signing ceremony? It's almost like they didn't want anybody to know about it.

What's the difference in this for ISPs and Google and Facebook doing the same?

Facebook and Google only have the information I use on their sites, not all of the information about my online traffic. Facebook and Google don't have government sponsored monopolies.

If Trump actually is stupid enough to go after net neutrality, he deserves every bit of the blowback and backlash he gets from it.

That has a whole lot of bipartisan skin in the game from people on both sides.

A lot of Trump's voters didn't vote for him to be a corporatist.

The same folks that don't care if Trump has colluded with the Russians to undermine our democracy,

aren't too shook up that Trump is selling their privacy rights to the highest bidder of the corporate machine.

Shocker

Agree that the politics on this one aren't great, but this WSJ article tells a different story.

Lot of misinformation on what the rule actually would have done.
