I hate to tell you Puerto Rico, but you've thrown our budget a little out of whack, Because we've spent a lot of money on Puerto Rico and that's fine, we've saved a lot of lives.

quote:

But if you look at a real catastrophe like Katrina

His utter lack of ability in expressing any semblance of empathy is beyond comprehension.

Well yeah... 16 people vs. thousands. Like in his quote. Which you failed to include.

quote:

The president pointed out that 16 people died in Puerto Rico because of Maria -- a death count far lower than that of “a real catastrophe like Katrina” in 2005. “Sixteen people versus in the thousands,” Trump said. “You can be very proud of all your people.”

Well this is certain to be taken out of context.

Hey, at least isn't lying about the storm being the fault of some video and jailing the maker over it.

Tough standard to live up to.

He should have sent 'thoughts and prayers' to make you feel better.

Just read about this.
Can't believe he told them...

“but if you look at a real catastrophe like Katrina and you look at the tremendous hundreds and hundreds of people that died and what happened here with a storm that was just totally overbearing. No one has ever seen anything like that. What is your death count?"

But it's not even a blip on the radar now. It's become commonplace with this assclown.

What do you mean overanalyze? I think that quote is very straight forward. I may be drawing a blank because there's so many to choose from, but I think it's the most appalling thing he's said since he's been elected. He's acting as if they could have moved the island out of the way and is lecturing them for not doing so.

You do understand that PR is not a state, and they pay no federal taxes? Any spending on them is in no way, shape, or form recoverable.

It is a budget issue to give money to people that refuse fiscal reform. Didn't they want us to "save them" last year with a $70B bailout? Now this year too?

acting like he didn't unequivocally condemn the white supremacists, nazis, and the kkk mean you are either woefully ignorant, or completely disingenuous. Which is it?
