As disappointing as that may be, I stand by my original statement from months ago that as long as he appoints conservative justices, I don't care what else he does.

Right, I mean who could be against "common sense" political reforms?

I would have voted for any candidate that the GOP put up. I refuse to vote for any Liberal agenda.

People aren't complex. The man craves attention. This isn't difficult to discern. When his campaign was at a low point and seeking a shake up, his advisors asked him how he would like to continue. He said he wanted to do more speeches like in the primary, with large crowds.

I will note again: he has continued to do this. It's obvious the guy likes the stage.

What's worse is that most of them try to present it as fact.

I love how all of them say that Trump voters got "played." If anyone got played, it's them. Their party is spiraling towards irrelevance.

I thought better of you DS. But apparently your reading comprehension is that of a second grader.

Y'all are trying to twist the fact he isn't using the phrase anymore to mean that he isn't going to do it anymore.

“Maybe he feels that, as president, as the next president of the United States, that he should be marginally more dignified than talking about alligators in swamps,

It was a campaign slogan, and now that the election is over and he wants to communicate in a more presidential way (like the left has been screaming about), you want to try and turn that into a negative as well.

You anti-trump cucks will always be the victim in your small minds. This winning won't get old.

There always was a huge disconnect between what was possible and what Trump said he'd do, now there will be a similar gulf between what he says in speeches and what legislation actually results. He isn't draining the swamp, his lack of oversight is empowering it. This is an amazing opportunity for Republican leadership, and they are going to take full advantage of it, much to the detriment of many of the people Trump purports to represent.

Agree.

Neither a president nor a president-elect can drain the swamp outside the executive branch. The executive branch swamp is just a pond compared to the real swamp.

It is amazing how the left can be spun off into "see, see, see, see, he, he is a liar and you got tricked!!!!"

Well, one he is not in office, two, I did not literally think he was going to walk in an fire every person ever in washington and tell congress to take a hike. I do not care if he stops using a campaign phrase as long as he does what he promised on the campaign trail.

Depends on which aspect of people we're discussing. Highly subjective.

Show me a presidential candidate that doesn't crave attention on some level and I'll show you a person who has no designs for the presidency.

A prudent move for anyone hoping to drive their own narrative. Which was going to be essential no matter who the GOP candidate was. Hell, NOT placing an emphasis on that helped fatally wound Romney.

Again, I reject your premise. It's flawed and overly simplistic.
