. Trump has denigrated our war in Iraq over and over and denigrated the intelligence used to justify that war. But he wants Bolton in his admin???? That is ludicrous. Bolton is part of the NeoCon cabal that gave us ridiculous foreign entanglements that Trump likes to criticize.

Trump's been all over the map honestly. Bolton speaks Trump's language, I'm actually convinced they would be friendly with one another in the right circumstances.

The question is how trump will respond to his first taste of government. I hope he recognizes how destructive the government is, and that the government is not like running a business.

Honestly, if we're gonna lose thousands of men and spend trillions of dollars we should take their shite. I care a lot more about oil than I do strangers in some desert on the other side of the world.

1. I guess about 99% of the wars in human history have been illegal

2. Is a nation really "sovereign" anymore once you fricking invade it and take it over?

Those quotes are awesome. I don't know why you are melting over them. We should have taken the oil. At least then we'd have anything to show for the trillions wasted in Iraq. And as Trump so wisely said, it's better than just giving it to Iran.

Was Trump implying we should have liberated Iraq for the oil or simply that the US should be compensated for liberating Iraq?

We spent an enormous amount of $ there w/o gaining much of anything in return.

We went into Iraq (among other things) to break up the Oil Bourse that threatened the U.S. dollar. We don't need their oil. What we need is to ensure that they and the rest of the world deals oil in dollars.

Trump knows this. He continues to play the American people like a fiddle. It's his and his crony capitalist friends' version of "WINNING."

Nothing will change under his administration. But at least the American people will feel all warm and fuzzy when they're taking it up the pooper.

Not salty, mate. Just taking some new vernacular out for a spin in Trump's America. Seems like it resonated

We did not "liberate Iraq".
