The territory we today call Palestine or Israel?

Undeniably and 100% factually false

It isn't wrong. You're wrong if you think that the concept of the modern nation state really existed before ~ the 15th century.

Ancient Israel most certainly wasn't one.

The United Monarchy of Israel was established around 1020 BCE when Saul became the first king of a united Israelite kingdom.
Does that help with your nonsense?

You and I clearly use different definitions of “nation-state”

Well, you provided a quote, but no cite, so maybe so.

I'll go with what most scholars of the topic tend to go with as opposed to the alter, Antoninus, though. So we'll have to agree to disagree.

Your definition of “nation-state” is?

The point of establishment of said “nation-state” is?

Here's a hint Dumbo, re: the OP, there was no nation specifically called "Palestine" in ancient times.

But not limited to Judeans and Israelites* (Lebanon). Many modern Arabs are as well. Any semetic people in the region can trace their lineage back to them.

You have a well known history of pulling definitions out of your azz to try and provide cover when you say stupid things, Hank.

I think it is more accurate to say that the Canaanites and the Arabs both descend from a common Semitic predecessor culture, but they are definitely related.

Correct, Timothy.

The place name seems to derive from Philistia, though the modern Palestinian people are probably not descended from the Aegean Philistines.

I would be interested to see your definition and source.

They exist now. Israelis didn’t exist before 1948.

But Jewish people and our temples did!

It's hilarious how people constantly bring up a name the Romans assigned to dirt and then ascribe it to a people. They're mostly Jordanian. No, you can't have the land back, because Israel won, and you got your teeth kicked in. Should we give the 13 colonies back to England?

Most biblical scholars date it to around 1250BC where the 12 Hebrew tribes divided themselves. But hey, Croatia didn't exist until the 1990s, so F 'em all, right?

The Israelis and the Palestinians are closely related in terms of genetics.

This is one of the most bizarre Israeli propaganda points.
