'Conservatives' happy that their idol is working with Schumer and Pelosi.

And these same people call me a 'cuck' because I said this would happen.

I got a sports analogy. Football coach has a good starting QB who is in his prime. But the QB has a nice big cushy contact and he isn't motivated to put in the extra work to help the team win.

Coach shocks the fans by using his 1st draft pick on a rookie QB. It gets the starting QB's attention.

Don't understand what's hard to understand about this. It was the whole point of electing trump to begin with(well there was the whole "SKIP HER TURN" thing) . One of his "promises" was, in fact, to work with whoever he had to to GET shite DONE

so as a Conservative, am I supposed to be pissed that Trump is working across the isle? Isn't politics about compromise?

Exactly. Can't threaten to cut a deal with the dems if they don't think you'll do it. Now they know he will.

As long as Trump does what he said he'd do during the campaign, I don't care who he works with to get it done. He can bring in Putin for all I care.

What exactly happened yesterday that is remotely good for a conservative?

I can live with compromise that is somewhat close to 50/50.

Compromising with Dems typically produces a 99%/1% split "compromise" in the Dems favor.

It's not like this is a new story.

you ever heard of the long game? has trump done anything yet to make you think he's not trying to do whatever is required to pass his agenda?

but go ahead if you feel this is some kind of moral win that makes you think trump is finished

What has he done yet that makes you think he can pass anything in his agenda?

Good analogy Zach, but here is the difference.

The starting QB has actually signed a long-term, GUARANTEED contract where he gets paid no matter if he plays or not. Even if the draft pick becomes the starter, the team has to payout the lazy QBs money.

So the starting QB is OK with all of this because he doesn't intend on getting anything done anyway. He's signed.

That's your GOPe

I don't think Trump has a specific policy agenda.

You don't know what TRUMP leveraged out of the Democrats.

He'll never lower the debt unless he can cut a deal on taxes and get the economy turned around. Can't pay off the debt with a stagnant economy but you can with a roaring one.
