I just asked a question

I answered . The Delta has the same problems as Indian reservations. Life would hault without government handouts and drugs. As long as Dems push a narrative that Repubs want to takeaway all federal aid, then those areas will always vote Dem, though the most sexist, xenophobic, and homophobic people I've ever met came from those areas.

Whole lotta black folks in the MS delta

Most counties are over 65% AA and most have less than 10k populations with the exception of Washington Co (Greenville) which is continuously shrinking with people both black and white moving away from there.

There are some great historic sites along the Delta, and if you are a sportsman the whitetail and duck hunting in the area is absolutely top notch.

I'm as anti-Clinton as you can be, but I don't get the infatuation everyone has the land area that "voted" for Trump. People vote. Most people live in cities. Trump won because he won over the right people, not the most people. No problem with that whatsoever, but this obsession with the land area is comical.

Looks like the popular vote is tied to largest urban areas.

Well, the bad news is I'm in Clinton's America. The good news is it looks like I live a few minutes from the beach now.

Yep, but Clinton's world seems like it would be amazing to sail.

Fine, we'll let conservatives start their own country with the flyover territory. I'm sure it will be really successful without Silicon Valley, wall st and the financial district of NYC, Houston's O&G industry, universities....you know, all of America's competitive advantages.

Even Trump will be living in liberal land. It's so terrible.

The simple fact of the matter is that America needs both halves of itself to survive.

America without the large cities and accumulation of knowledge would not have led to the technological powerhouse we are today.

America without the rural areas would not have produced the means of survival.

Without either, America is either a group of starving people or a technological doldrums that shows no progress.

That said, I will never get the idea of bragging about winning the most "area". Winning Alaska ensures you're going to just about have the most landmass, but I never see it on these maps.

Why? Because they know the argument is silly to brag about winning all 3 electoral votes because it's worth a lot of empty miles. You win Alaska, and I win Delaware. Guess what? All that extra land mass means nothing, as we're TIED.

Yeah, I agree.

I just am thrown off by the people who keep complaining about the cities controlling the rest of the country. People control the country. They live in cities more than they do in rural areas. If Trump would have won 75% of the land area in the US and lost by 150 EVs, it wouldn't have mattered.
