There is a monument to the siblings who started the White Rose Society on the back side of the Ludwig - Maximillan University Main Building with an inscription that basically says not mater what type of government people should be allowed to live. It is known as the Resistance Monument and it is a big chunk of black granite...and it is tradition to place a stone of resistance yourself on top of this monument.
There are also granite "Pamphlettes" embedded in the sidewalks in the area...and interesting enough what may well be the only swastika still whole and intact on a building in Bavaria...the portico ceiling of the Haus der Kunst (House of Art) was done in swastikas and they are still there and very visible....there are actually lots of places where you can still see swastikas on buildings BUT it has to be raining....the rain wets the concrete and they are clearly visible because they were chisled off and smoothed over...there is a transformer vault in a Burger King Parking lot at the Nazi Parade Ground in Nuremberg which has a VERY visible eagle / swastika when it rains...and it rains a lot.
The floor in the rathouse (city hall...how do you like that???) in Ansbach, Germany also has a swastika motif but it is running on an angle and is not noticeable until someone points it out to you and you look at it at the right angle...
