Those numbers are just the 18 year olds I assume?

And another thing. I understand why they categorize generational cohorts, but there is often nearly as much variability within a cohort as between them.

For example, many millennials are in their early to mid-30's. So their experiences and views are far more likely to be different than the younger millennials than those younger millennials are with the older Generation Zers.

We won't know the views and impact of Zers until a good 10-15 years when those at the midpoint age become adults.

And those numbers don't really make much sense. Only 50% of 18-29 year olds turned out, and turnout tends to get larger with age. So the link implies nearly 70% turnout of 18 years olds. That's not a representative sample. It's probably more like only 31% total voted.

To me it's the girl who got her arse kicked by a "trans gender" in the girl's wrestling competition, or the girls who lost to a basketball team that had a 6'5" 240 lb trans gender and etc etc who are going to flip the script when they get a chance.

Much better examples.

The kid shattering the record books in high school women's track is a great example. He turns trans, says he's a woman, and just destroyed women's high school track. Won first place by multiple seconds and broke all kinds of records. Those girls won't forget that.

That's a really stupid example to pick to illustrate your point. Those girls are fricking retarded.

I will disagree since I chose to use that one.

They earned a right to win a championship and that was removed because of off the field behavior. That behavior is not illegal. They were covered under the First Amendment from any type prosecution. However they were disqualified because someone was offended, some feelings were hurt.

I do not condone what they did and proper punishment should be administered by their coach and/or parents.

A lesser team was given the opportunity to play for the championship. Is that clear enough for you all. A team that did not earn the right to play for the championship. In fact the team they defeated was given that chance.

What better example of SJW. We are going to take something away that you earned and give it to the people you made fun of.

No they weren't.

Were they thrown out of the tournament or criminally prosecuted by order of the US Government because of the content of their speech? That's what the first amendment protects.

A private baseball league can and absolutely should have the power to punish kids for being unsportsmanlike fricktards.

Yes they are. Were they charged with a crime or something?

I don't know anything about the story, but it's as if we haven't seen asinine decisions and disqualifications from high school associations and the NCAA for arguably more egregious reasons.

That's the amazing thing, women are actually fighting for mentally ill people to have the right to take spots that are reserved for them. I mean how long before the University of Kentucky figures out that they can dominate men's basketball by recruiting 15 6'5" "trans genders" who while not quite good enough to play sec mens basketball can destroy sec womens basketball? Not long, I suspect. And what's the end result of that? 15 women who will lost out on basketball scholarships to the University of Kentucky, that's what. And of course other schools will follow suit.

It's just asinine and this younger group seems to get that.

They just need to make everything based on "sex," and then be done with it. Male and female bathrooms. Male and female sports.

Maybe they do, but I'm not sure why people think this is certain.

I was born in 1982 and for some reason they say I'm a millenial. Makes no sense.

The explanation I've heard is the name refers to people who "came of age", whatever that means, around the new millennium. That said, my wife was born in 82 and has a lot more in common with X. I've seen the cut-off at anywhere from 1976 to 1985 but 83 is the year I see most often. I'd say you're X.

That's fricking irrelevant. The first amendment does not protect you from private concerns taking actions against your speech.

Some yall need to take a god damned civics course or something

It's probably out of self interest when they look around and realize that dudes saying they are girls beating them at sports is costing them, so it's time for those dudes to realize they are dudes and go play sports against other dudes.

It astounds me how many people invoke the First Amendment without understanding that it does not give one carte blanche to say whatever they want without any reprisal whatsoever.

Freedom of speech does not equal freedom from personal consequences.

Gen X is still in our 40's. We grew up being sick and tired of the 60's and hippies and related bull shite.

I don't think the next gen is the most Conservative in 70 years. Look how the Millenials responded to Gen X.

Generation X was really conservative. And as mentioned rebelled and were tired of the Baby Boomers hippie mentality. All we heard was how awesome and free love the 60's were.

Hell, Gen X was even pretty Conservative with sex but that was also the height of the AIDS scare.

And Gen X is conservative attitude-wise and less self-absorbed.

Percentage that say their generation is unique:

Millienials: 61%
Baby Boomers: 58%
Generation X: 49%

Damn you are all some dense people here. The whole point is no laws were broken and they did something that is protected in our country. However somebody got their feelings hurt and they went all zero tolerance. Yes it is a private entity and they can, but should they. This would not have happened in the 80s .

They awarded the team they beat a victory, because they made a hand gesture after the fact.

This is a huge part of the SJW movement. No laws are being broken by whatever they are protesting, but they are offended and hurt by a non-physical item.

This board does not need a civics course. It needs open thought and less arse holes.
