I've been seeing this for a few weeks now, even when that Puerto Rican terrorist was released by Obama.

They compare any civil disobedience and rioting to the Boston Tea Party, knowing that "patriots" won't know how to react to that. I've already seen it 2-3 times today regarding the rioting.

It is a level of cognitive dissonance I can't even wrap my head around.

the Left also thinks that Palestinian terrorists are similar, politically, to the Colonial Militia of the 1770s.

Because, as we all know, Americans regularly bombed London pubs and markets in the 18th Century.

The men who orchestrated and participated in the Boston Tea Party actually joined militias and fought openly against the ruling government.

These guys wear masks and ask for the police to arrest those who fight back and give them a boo boo.

It takes a lot of effort to explain to them the difference in society then and now, and the lack of representation, among other things that sprang out of it.

Remember when the Boston Tea Party participants attacked their own American citizenry?

I've noticed that any valid argument against Trump or his administration is brushed off as a "gotcha".

(I don't condone what the left is doing with the riots, etc. Just making an observation)

Again, I'm all for a peaceful secession process added to our Constitution.

Led eventually to a war. Is that what they want?

I think we all know that civil disobedience is where the comparison ends.

That is about as ludicrous as it is laughable

And yet not surprising considering how many on the left have lost their collective minds the past few months.

I blame public education in concert with revisionist history for stupidity such as this...

That's the part they don't get and it's the most important part.

What the Tea Party "Indians" did was illegal under both British Law and the subsequent legal codes adopted after the American Revolution. They destroyed private property. As a patriot, I would have led he prosecution of those "patriots".

They are simply trying to find a reasoning and justification for their protests and violent outbursts

Well that's typical Leftism shallowness. Take the widest view of something then apply that vague description to some specific event and say "LOOK! THEY ARE THE SAME!!"

To go back to my favorite Buckley quote: "(this) is the equivalent of saying that the man who pushes an old lady into the path of a hurtling bus is not to be distinguished from the man who pushes an old lady out of the path of a hurtling bus: on the grounds that, after all, in both cases someone is pushing old ladies around.”

And both parties are fooled by the Boston Tea Party.
