I don't think anything short of a full armed citizen revolt will stop the thugs in this administration from lying, cheating, stealing, defaming and using any other tactics

I gotta say, I think the real problem here is the discretion and power these agencies have.

The risk of this kind of blatant abuse won't get better with a Republican administration- frankly, they'd be stupid to relinquish the ability to get away with this kind of stuff against their enemies.

And that goes back to Holder. With him in the AG seat, NOTHING will be done. Of all the slimy POS's in DC right now, I rank him as the worst of the worst, because all of the other crooks know that he'll cover for them by doing absolutely nothing.

Got a good taste of his sleaziness when he dropped charges against those thugs threatening white people at the polls.

If he died tomorrow, I might be tempted to go to his funeral just so I can say "Good riddance" in person.

As I said earlier, it depends on the level of competent these guys have.

If they were worth a shite, they got CYA letters from their bosses to do these deletions AND kept the data in question.

If this is the case, that puts them in a pretty powerful bargaining position with both their bosses and the House with regards to what happens to that data and those letters.

Give it 2 or 3 days as the Obamabots scour the liberal websites for their talking points and they'll be back with a reasonable answer for why the missing email story is entirely plausible.

Are they still trying to explain the magic typewriter able to write the Bush TANG memos in Times New Roman from the 2004 election?

this is so obviously corruption it's pathetic.

They are openly destroying evidence. Not only that, the evidence still exists, it IS recoverable.

DO THE PEOPLE HAVE NOBODY LEFT TO REPRESENT US?

ARE WE TRULY THIS frickED?

And how will you prove anything exactly to make this happen? Someone needs to squeal....and hopefully it's a tech guy.

Damn, Bard, maybe you need to be working for Issa's committee.

I've already fired off an email with names I've dug up of people on the IRS' IT staff that Issa should contact.

I fricking hate when people try to use general computer ignorance against others like this.

Start making noise about contempt of court, summary judgements, etc., against the tech guys in charge of the IRS e-mail system and they'll magically find that shite pretty damn quick.

And what about the backup emails at DOJ, Congress, etc.? Are they "lost", too?

A good computer criminologist should be able to extract this info from the hardware shouldn't he ?

Deleting the information is a massive federal offense. Anyone caught doing it would face a metric frickton of trouble. No IT professional worth their salt would do this (and more than a few would get outright pissed off at being told to do so).

Mark my words, that data is still out there somewhere even if it's in an archive.

Nope. Taxation without representation.

I actually have the most plausible theory to explain this one:

Karl Rove had the documents forged up. He knows, for a fact, that they're forged because he had them done. He puts them out in the stream where he knows at least one of the outlets will be too eager to NOT run with it.

Brilliant in concept and execution. He had to look no further than Dan Rather and CBS News.
