Like stated before. There is no telling how many are living under cover in the US now. Why wouldn't there be some who are more notorious to US intel that use cartels to learn how the people smuggling operation works and get connected to later know how to bring jihadist into the country?

Cartels are paying them to inforce. Some cartel members are concerned what happens to many get over here. Just general info along the border. If you know 100 people from a border town, you hear some very belivible stories.

Who do we think that ISIS is? Why would the Mexican cartels pay ISIS to come over here and do their dirty work? That makes no sense on any level. The Cartels have their own muscle. Plus, why would ISIS work for them?
Do I believe that they are capable of slipping across the border? Yes. Do I believe that they are working for drug cartels? No.

And your story is so ridiculous on so many levels. I can see a late night skit with Haji and his broken English trying to speaking to Pablo and his broken Engish.
The cartels don't need help. Mexican labor is cheap. And ISIS doesn't need Mexican money. The get $6 million a day funneled to them much of it selling oil at $30 a barrel.
And the cartels don't want to kill Americans indiscriminately. Who do you think their customers are.
That said AQ and the Taliban make a good living off opium sales from Afganistan.
