So Voter ID laws are supposedly racist........

If this is the case then I assume setting up bank accounts, flying on a commercial airline, getting a loan, purchasing alcohol, gambling at a casino, taking a cruise, traveling outside of the US, buying tobacco, buying/renting a car, DRIVING A CAR, getting married, buying a gun, buying a cell phone, getting a hunting/fishing license, checking into a hotel room, signing up for government programs, etc..... are all racist because of the fact they require photo ID
Ever since I have been 15 years old I have had a driver's license in my back pocket and have had ZERO issues when it comes to proving who I am. I just don't understand how showing ID and proving who you are is considered RACIST.
In my home state of Mississippi, we have voter ID laws and when I voted in November I had no issue providing my ID to the poll workers where I voted.
I just blows my mine how any grown American citizen doesn't have any form of identification.

According to democrats minorities are too stupid and have zero means to be able to provide for themselves.

Voter IDs aren't racist. Democrats are racist and they oppose measures that will hurt their numbers.

Its 2017 not early 1900's Jim Crow south. Trust me I am very educated in American History and know about disenfranchisement, asking someone for ID is NOTHING compared to paying Poll Taxes or taking Literacy tests.
Im in favor of the government issuing FREE IDs to anyone who Can't afford them. ID's are important in all aspects of life, if you are in an accident and have to be rushed to the hospital or in a wreck its important that you have ID so the responders, police, or medics know who you are.

I have an excellent argument. We have no indications that in-person fraud is happening in this country. In-person fraud is the only type of election fraud prevented by voter IDs. We do have indications from multiple sources that voter ID laws as they're written in the US are disproportionately disenfranchising to minorities (sometimes intentionally, sometimes accidentally).
Given all that, it's a solution in search of a problem. Pushing for said solution knowing that it harms individuals and solves no problems is racist.

The argument is that those other things aren't fundamental rights, and voting is.
Therefore if you have to pay even a cent for an ID, then its a poll tax.
Of course, the goal posts shift when states make IDs free.
Then it becomes about getting to the place to get your ID and how inconvenient that is to minorities, and therefore racist.
They just don't want to admit that they do not want their voters to have to show ID.

So you don't think people can get to ID places such as the DMV yet they can get to the grocery store, hospital, pharmacy, etc. It only would take one trip and I would have and ID where it lasted 10 years like a passport
They just don't want to admit that they do not want their voters to have to show ID.
Sad but true.
